Galatasaray started negotiations with Jobe Bellingham, who plays for Sunderland. Aslan sacrificed €6 million for this transfer. The current market value of the 18-year-old midfielder is €9 M. The young name, who played in 28 matches this season, scored 4 goals and provided 1 assist.

Double barrelled names used to be the behest of the poshos. Now all the chavs are latching on and giving young Keanu 3 names (rather than take a paternity test). Fast forward 10 years and 90% of the population will have hem

He hasn’t played much in ages. I think right now he may as well go back. I know I’m in the few but as a 9 i’d probably play him ahead of Rusyn. Rusyn to me just isn’t a 9. Basing it just on his style of play. Probably largely based on that one brilliant touch like. He’s not good enough. There was a reserve game where he looked lost and effortless.

I honestly think Rusyn is signed as a Clarke replacement. Looking at is stats etc most his goals and assists come from the left I think

Totally true but it's also fair to say that his direct contributions have been lacking. He's more talented than Clarke but look at the difference in final product.

If say we’d got rid of Roberts for 5 mill and got Rollheiser who’s now at Benfica, which was close, I’d suggest we’d have done well. Maybe they know what they’re doing

I know bugger all about Rollheiser but it's definitely a position we can improve on. I'm a fan of Roberts as a footballer he's incredibly talented and when we're clicking as a team he's premier league quality.

When it isn't though which is most of the time we could do with someone more pragmatic, someone with more pace and strength.

Refused an 8m bid from Coventry for Rollheiser. If we were close I suspect Clarke leaving was close too.

    the stats say otherwise.

I like roberts but he’s having a **** season and my reply was to someone else saying we’ve got 7 players injured and him using the likes of Embo and evens in there.

One of the biggest hidden stats in football is ‘pass to assist’ or ‘play before assist’.

A few lads on here are I to coaching and scouting and they’ll know. It’s a massive secondary stat and one where Roberts would likely shine.

He does need more final product but we are always a weaker looking and less threatening side without him. That’s stone cold fact and staring us in the face last few weeks.

Yeah 100% agree. Just caused chaos and leads to goals eventually.

I don’t think he’d be missed as much if we played ba or jewi there it’s only looked bad when we’ve played someone out of position there ie pritch.

It’s space he created elsewhere mate. Holds the ball so tight he moves players around.

Its frustrating in a way cos whenever he does score it seems to be such a classy and clinical finish that even more you think ‘should be scoring a load’, but his contribution to the team remains.

How many bullets did he load up for Amad? Not his fault that nobody is firing this season, he can’t be switching it to Clarke just to get his assist stats up.

Big fan of Roberts mate. I don't need convincing. Watch all of our games so can see what he does for the team, but on paper, he will look garbage with his stats of goals and assists

I’d agree Ba given a run there would be the only option, we just lose the left foot/right foot balance.

I’d still be inclined to scrap inverted wingers for couple games and see if we can get crosses in earlier. Swap Clarke and Roberts. Another potential option is Roberts as a 10 and Ba wide. He’d draw a lot of fouls at the very least with his ball control which is utterly unmatched in the squad.

Love watching him play but being ruthless our team needs a spread of goal scorers. What does he average, 3 a a season?
