if it's true and we arent willing to match the offer, it's idiotic from the club, a player who was massive for us getting into the playoffs last season who would give the whole club a lift who wants to come back would piss is off more then the mags fiasco with the bar
Yep. Totally agree mate but some will still a find a way to make a positive out of it. Really hope it’s not true especially considering if that article is to be believed it’s over money. Not playing time or working under a preferred coach but wages.
We don’t know it’s true yet of course but I would be pissed off with this scenario. They aren’t bigger or better so it would have to be money
We (myself included) tend to rubbish Nixon when it’s an incoming then take it as gospel when it’s something we don’t want to happen, just have to see how this one plays out, maybes we have someone lined up permanently rather than develop another teams player, clutching I know but have to give them the benefit of the doubt until the windows shut I guess
Guess it depends how much United are asking for. If it’s to fund like £60k p/w of wages it’s not a surprise if we don’t bid. Similarly if they want £3m or so for the loan. some would still throw that at it but I think it would be fair if they didn’t. if it’s a case of we only want to spend £20k p/w and they want £25k p/w it’s a bit more frustrating. either way would be galling for him to go to Boro but we can’t affect which bids United choose to accept or not
Worth pointing out that Amad has just had a long term injury and hasn’t proven he’s fit yet. As Southampton have found out with Rossco, spending big on a player coming back from injury doesn’t always work out. anybody taking him on a 4 month loan deal is also taking on the risk of him breaking down again. And potentially being lumbered with an expensive injured player
We could afford him last season though and we currently only have Burstow in on loan. Boro have just signed Ayling on top of O’brien and Greenwood already on loan. If he goes to Boro it’s because we won’t give United what they want as a contribution and Boro will.
Man Utd might be asking for a lot more money than they asked for last time though. Boro being willing to pay more than us doesn’t make it a good deal. There comes a point where a 4 month loan deal isn’t worth extravagent money. So it’s impossible without that context to know if we should be bidding what Boro are
But Boro are willing to pay after already signing 2 experienced players on loan who were on good money.. shows you how ambitious we are if that’s the case.
He was the best player in the league last season.. what’s sensible about not matching the club who are literally battling you for 1 of the remaining 2 play off places? I have absolutely no idea what’s going to happen so I’m not going to have a whinge just yet but if he goes to Boro I can guarantee you the general feeling towards the club will be very hostile unless they go and sign players of similar calibre which let’s be honest isn’t going to happen.
i've really like the on field stuff when it comes to the club but if this does happen i'll be really gutted, and it will be the first time i'll be be a little bit worried in a while
Striker Kieffer Moore Returning To Cardiff City. Welsh International Keiffer Moore is set to return to Cardiff City from his club, Bournemouth, in the now open transfer window. Moore moved from Cardiff City to Bournemouth for 3.5 million pounds before the South Coast club gained promotion to the Premier League. At the time, Moore, who rose from the Non-League, wished to experience Premiership football, although his appearances have been few and far between at the highest level. Sources close to the deal have stated Moore has an immense desire to return to South Wales and has agreed personal terms whilst the clubs attempt to finalise a valuation of the striker. Cardiff City’s valuation is reported to be 1.5 million, whilst Bournemouth are holding out for 2 million. Although it’s understood the clubs are now close to an agreement. The deal is expected to be completed next week, with Moore wanting regular football to keep on track with his Welsh International career. Cardiff Fan Andrew Williams told Global247news: ‘ We need the big man back; we have a thin squad right now, and Kiefer would fit right in and be up and running straight away. ‘ It I will presume all come down to Tan and his cohorts paying his worth.’ Cardiff City were drubbed 0-3 by Leeds United on the weekend, with their manager questioning the lack of investment into the squad, with solid rumours on the terraces that owner Vincent Tan has lost interest both in football as well at the Welsh Club, having failed to maintain a position in the Premier League despite the Malaysian owner investing millions as he chased the Premiership dream. Middlesbrough are winning the race for Manchester United’s Amad Diallo. They’ve offered most cash towards his wages in a loan deal. Southampton are also interested. (Via: @reluctantnicko)
I’d be devastated if Amad went to Boro like. The club are an absolutely useless sack of ****e if they lose out.
