Sigh - Nelson said Truss would never have done the mini-budget had she known the overall economic conditions, so either she didn't know and she should have, or she did know but was too dense and politically myopic to realise the consequences. She and Kwarteng are responsible for the effects of her budget, alongside the moronic zealots in Tufton St that advised her to do it in the first place. That's it - the end. :emoticon-0139-bow:

<doh> Still pig ignorant Gammon Slayer, knows nothing about how economies run and just blithers on about Truss, Kwarteng and Tufton Street. You never read the article just made an assumption about a Twatter headline. The account of the cretin that you regurgitated has now been deleted.

Money really does grow on trees and if a Starmer government does not last 100 days, it will be Tufton Street’s fault not the economically ignorant.

The Bank of England tanked the pension funds and had to bail them out. The markets did not like the Truss/Kwarteng unfunded tax cuts and stopped them by dumping gilts. Just like the markets will stop Starmer/Reeves when their union paymasters want unfunded pay rises, more public spending and nationalisation.

You go away for a few days and this thread effectively becomes just Twatter, stuffed with moronic regurgitations by the Gammon Slayer and his friends, not a brain cell between them...

I will personally never forgive Vince Cable for being the minister who privatised the Royal Mail. Lib Dems are not to be trusted imo, though still preferable to the morally degenerate self-serving grifters of the Conservative Party.

The privatised Royal Mail is doing alright except the bit that delivers letters by old inefficient unionised methods. The posties want their efficient German counterparts to subsidise their anachronistic practises. The still nationalised Post Office is incompetently managed and the man who was sent to investigate its latest calamity admitted to the inquiry that he knew nothing about I.T. – the incapable sent by the incompetent Establishment.

When it comes to degenerates, most of them can be found in the State. The less of it we have the better. Establishment grifters have no trouble keeping their snouts in the trough and their numbers have risen by more than 50,000 in the last 5 years.

He encouraged private investors into the internal markets of the NHS, then subsequently admitted that was a mistake.

But to put that in perspective, most of modern medicine consists of proscribed medication (drugs basically), and since drug companies are exclusively private enterprises, it’s not possible to have a Health Service completely independent of the free market.

The NHS is the religion of the stupid – that is most of the British public. They will continue to see it collapse in front of them until they sober up from their 75 year delusion. Only a hundred thousand or so unfilled jobs on the sinking ship but plenty of money for diversity and inclusivity officers.

What do the Post Office and the NHS have in common? They are both run by the totally inept State. The cretin that investigated the Post Office scandal told the inquiry that he knew nothing about I.T. – what a great choice to investigate. Blair knew all about the dodgy computer software but let them have it anyway.

The Communist Health Service was born dead because Welsh Communist Aneurin Bevan totally ignored the Beveridge Report suggestions for a funding model, totally ignored the successful worker’s medical societies running in Wales (that he forced to close) and created a monolith of centrally controlled bureaucrats that failed after less than 75 years just like the U.S.S.R. failed. Why does most of Europe have better health care than the UK but spend less money on it? Surely not regionalised private public partnership...
