Until agreements are in place then it just means there have been positive overtures from each side. There'll be competition for any signing worth having - that's top 6 championship ready anyway. I suspect they'll try to work in the keeper over a couple of months at least. 23, never played here we shouldn't necessarily expect an immediate impact.
Are they? The suggestion seems to be that the decision is with us not the players, so however you want to describe that I think the decision.. is with us! Reads to me as if we're deciding on how much of our budget we want to spend in that area and that will determine which one we bring in.
Ah OK. The operative part of that is most likely 'within budget'. Dominoes might need to fall before one or the other is willing to accept. That's how I read it anyway.
They are. Verbally saying I'm happy to join a company is different from me agreeing in writing. It may be that this isn't the case here but given they're publicly looking at 2 options I would imagine the respective players could have said "yes I'm happy to join Hull City but I want to see what else could happen throughout January in case another club comes or my parent club has an injury". That's the difference.
Rosey did say 'very close on a couple' on the tigers+ presser - before taking about Pandur and deflecting it. Think we probably are close-ish on a LB. Also sceptical that Benson is a priority target as Rosenior has spoken openly that we'd have him. Usually refuses to talk about 'another clubs player' etc if it's actually a live one. That in itself probably means that one's probably not going to happen. Just my feeling.
Fair. I was just referencing that there's a difference between a player saying they're happy to join and actually joining
Takes a lot of admin to sign a player. Doesn't just happen in a day even if it's only finally agreed at 9pm on deadline day.
Facebook has just reminded me that we signed Evandro seven years ago today. I liked Evandro, shame we didn't see more of him really.
As I’ve said if you want to know how to not be dispossessed watch vids of him - hips , arse - then if they knock you over you get a foul - he was a master at it.
I wonder if he takes a different stance with loans? Signing a player permanently could feel more disrespectful than doing it on loan, because the loan also benefits the players club? Dunno, might be overthinking it but it’s possible.
That seems like a kind of odd thing to come out and say for a headline. Without reading it I'm assuming the reason we got him on loan was more to do with how far the other loanees have come along this season?
I think its to do with the clubs he rejected saying we only got him because of guaranteed playing time
It's because fans of lots of other clubs have claimed we only got him because we guaranteed him game time.
