Dunno if I was dreaming or not but think I heard it wasn't owned by them so that means they would have to buy him and run the risk of ffp, maybe someone on here knows better than me if they are or not

We need someone who'll not be shy about demanding the ball. Someone who'll grab Clarke and Roberts by the throat and tell them to stop fannying about and deliver it.

Or we can Charles Charlie Charles it all game as usual

He would give us something to hit like and hold it up. We don't have anyone like that currently.

Moore would be a cracking signing imo, kmows the league n can hit the ground running. His link up play is decent and thats what we need, he struggles to stretch games but i dont think we need a striker to do that with the way we play - n tbf to rusyn he can do that

Def need a CDM and i would be looking at the fullback posiiton as well, i would def take spence as he can play both sides pretty well

Winger is the other position we def need, we dont have the quality in numbers there.

Undecided on which ones are the most important, i would go for the below as order of importance:
    CDM
    CF
    WINGER
    FULLBACK

I know loads will say CF as the priority, and i get that, just feel we are so weak depth wise in CM n thats where games are won n loss. We will score goals with the players weve got at the club but feel we are crying out for that other CM - especially if it frees Neil up to push forward

Moore would be an absolute game changer for us.

Would be close to ideal for us even if short term.

Said it couple days back on here sadly that’s probably where Nixon got his ‘source’

Agree about Wyke mate. He did something really simple in bringing in McGeady and coaching Wyke to attack the front post area once McGeady got it. He called it POMO which seemed to rub some fans up the wrong way. However it was a really simple and effective bit of coaching. Rusyn has shown he can do that as his goal was all about attacking that space. To be honest every striker should have that in their locker. A few signs that Clarke is willing to look to cross the ball more so I am sure Beale is working on that with the wide lads. Lets see if the strikers we have can keep making the runs that make it impossible not to hit those early balls in.

I agree mate. I have said before I dont think Clarke or Roberts feel the need to play to a CF as much as they would if someone who is going to be demanding was playing up there. I think Rusyn will be great in time here but one thing I have noticed is he doesnt say boo to a goose on the pitch. I believe this is down to language barriers, but maybe a bit of personality too, I dont know. What I want to see is CF screaming at teammates when they make the run and it doesnt come. I think personality might be as important as talent for us right now. Like you say, someone who absolutely demands, during the game, that the ball comes to them. I am not a major Moore fan tbh, but I could see him making a difference to this side.

Size of Moore he’d ****ing rattle Clarke and Roberts if he wasn’t getting balls in the box.

He has never been the most cultured but he is a handful and a weapon he’s shown that everywhere including internationally.

It opens games us for us to have an option like that.

Moore was one of the best opposition players we came up against in League One.

If not him then we need someone similar in that role.

Mind you if it regular game time Moore wants to get ready for the euros then a spell here would be absolutely ideal for him as he’d be our only traditional number 9 really

With LJ it was more about his game management as his coaching that rubbed me up, as only the players involved will know anything about what he did or didn,t do, we can only assume, as for POMO its a simple way saying get out of the habit of hiding behind defenders, and I cant remember Wyke ever doing that even before LJ arrived tbh.

Moore provides a different option to play, we play good football & i want that to continue....but if were going to get out of this division we need to be able to change the way we play....we often struggle against the physical sides...who are near bottom of the league.... Rotherham are bottom for a reason, having Moore as an option wins games away at the likes of Rotherham

Wyke was never one to hide. He was a grafter and was honest. The POMO thing was about getting him to gamble on the ball hitting that area near to the front post. The trick was McGeady had the sort of talent that meant he would hit that area whenever he could. So all Johnson wanted Wyke to do was to get there first and try and finish. I think it was getting Wyke to attack different areas in the box than he had been. Turned out he was a much more instinctive finisher than I thought he was. Was excellent for a season.

Agreed, He's no Ross Stewart, but he'll hold it up, give us an our ball and be a genuine threat at set pieces. Imagine he's on big money though

I agree, the other option is to get two forwards and free up Rusyn to compete for the wide forward positions

I think they have brought Rusyn in to replace Clarke. Get him some experience then start wide left.
