Yeah, exactly my thoughts. He'd be playing for a big club and not poxy fecking Blackburn....tbh I can see him going to a lower quarter of Prem League club eg Palace.
'poxy fecking Blackburn'????
Remind me, when did we last win the Premier League, or the FA Cup, or even the old First Division?
Show some respect matey.

Probably totally unattainable. But Sammie Szmodics would be a tremendous addition to any team chasing promotion. Good assists and goals ratio (no penalties) either. Good player.

Was thinking the same on the way to the game last night (before he scored against us!). Doubt Blackburn would want to sell him to another Championship club though. I think we were linked with him when McCann was here.

As I have intimated above, I can see a Sheff Utd, a Palace or a Brighton or even a West Ham sniffing around Szmodics...Always looked like a good player to me, even when he failed to impress at Bristol City...
And, no Blackburn are not a poxy club, just for the record.

I've probably mentioned his name for the last 2-3 windows, but Joe Gauci in the Australian league is a phenomenal young talent. Is only 23, will likely be our (Aus) keeper at the Asian Cup next month, and just had another impressive game tonight. He is a far better keeper than Tom Glover for example, who was in the same league last season and has been starting recently for Boro, as well as being three years younger.

If we want a young keeper who is good with his feet as well as having tremendous shot stopping ability, who would come quite cheap but with a potential to be worth 3x or 4x what we pay for him (at least) then he'd be a very good option.

What’s a madda you

He's getting some right grief on the main BRFC messageboard. I think they'd love to offload him to some Herbert willing to take him.

I’ve been on there as well, if we did go for Pickering, it seems there’d be plenty of people willing to drop him off. <laugh>

They thought it was one of their best performances of the season, but as usual gifting goals cost them, as it regularly does us.

Or have a bigger record crowd than Liverpool in a smaller town (though Blackburn does have a Cathedral)?
