still was first choice and i believe it was all very close to being done even to the point of compensation agreed , but the club wouldn't budge on the back room staff , Kjetil Knutsen was also someone else we were in talks with, but same problem, once beales time with us up by moving to a different club after doing well or being sacked, dodds will be are next gaffer
This is all part of the approach to keep us stable after decades of instability. My instincts are to back this though I’d only do it if we’re not ****e.

You’d defend the club no matter what, so there’s no debate to be had here.

Let’s see how Beale goes…

And you're happy to criticise whenever you can

Still's interview made it pretty clear to me that he would have wanted to bring his own people and have decisive say on transfers and recruitment. That would not fit with KLD plans for the club.

Who else, apart from still, would you have wanted here ? Unknown Swedish manager ? And who would be happy with the head coach role?

And you're not <laugh>
Bollocks mate. You are talking ****e. I never said anything of the sort. If you read something into it, that is on you not me. I posted what I was taught as a bairn about our heritage. The last thing you are entitled to do is twist that. I have my heritage and you are nobody to tell me what I mean.

FFS, people falling out about miniscule nuances of perceived meanings ...

... the meaning and origin of Mackem is endlessly discussed and never resolved.

It doesn't matter but that wasn't my point in any case, that's been totally missed but it really doesn't matter.

Most of this is a matter of opinion, not fact.

In any case I apologise if I misconstrued your meaning ...

... please clarify where I was wrong.

You stated something I meant in my post. I meant no such thing. Your inference about me was stupid.

It is spoken in many countries around the world.
It is English because it is English

Britain is not a country but a union between countries
Don't want to be pedantic, but the United Kingdom is the union of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, Britain is an island containing England, Scotland and Wales and doesn't include Northern Ireland.

Doesn't make a lot of sense that someone like Still, who want greater control than we're willing to allow, would have almost reached the end of the process only for it to fall through when he found out we're keeping Dodds and Proctor on and transfers were out of his hands.

You'd think that would be cleared up early on so as not to waste anyone's time.

To be even more pedantic. Britain is an archipelago (also known as the British Isles) and Great Britain is the largest island in the archipelago.

... but including all the Isles, so Orkney, Shetland and Scilly to name a few
The. centre of Great Britain is Dunsop Bridge, a village in Ribble Valley or to be more precise the telephone box in that village
