The FA Cup loss hurt but was also wrapped in a lot of pride having just been there in the first place AND giving Arsenal a bloody nose whilst we were at it. I never really expected to win in the first place to be honest.

The play offs are different. We can beat any side in this league on our day. I’d half expect to win a final.
I remember leaving before the trophy was awarded and could not believe the amount of Arsenal fans leaving at the same time. These grifters in the big league just don't get it. I'm not sure who I feel sorry for the most.

I stayed (despite the disappointment), purely because I may never see the FA Cup ever being awarded again.

Couldn’t believe how many Arsenal fans left before me. I’d have been there for hours, they’d have had to kick me out.

I don’t think I could cope with going into the playoffs getting to Wembley and losing the final, this season is going to be very difficult with Saints, L**ds, West Brom Sunderland potentially in there
…and risk the inevitable hangover the following season

Yeah, playing in the FA Cup final and leading vs Arsenal was just so surreal. Even when we went 2 up, I just thought there was too long to go and never believed we would win, so wasn’t particularly emotional. I think it took a couple of weeks afterwards to actually realise what we had achieved and how close we actually were.

We haven’t experienced losing a play off final. I suspect it is horrendous. My sister in law is a Boro supporter(). They apparently have a habit of losing at Wembley, so even though they were the form team going into last season’s play offs, they had no expectation of promotion and apparently a lot had no plans to go if they had got there.

Personally whilst we play some very competent controlled football we seem to lack the speed of movement and dynamism of other teams , When Boro got near our box they had overlappers and movers giving them options , City struggled to cope and had to defend under panic - hence their first goal .
Agree. In fact Boro's goal was almost a replica of Watford's (also scored after around 5 minutes) where they constantly overloaded our left side at pace and we struggled to cut out, or deal with, the crosses that came from it. Similarly at QPR. When Vinagre came on we instantly saw what could be achieved if we had players with pace being prepared to do the same.

Great post.
Ok, so exactly which bits of that post were "****e" and why?

Btw, still waiting.
Was it the bit about the owner having higher expectations than top 10?
Or Rosenior bringing in his ex's Connolly and Allsop?
Or the owner adding Delap and Philogene and Lokilo?
Or Rosenior having had 2 chances to balance our "unbalanced midfield" (somebody else's quote), and added another no.10 type and Morton (quality)?
Or Rosenior bringing in Vinagre to solve our LB problem, letting Elder go (and Fleming fwiw) go.
Or that he inherited some decent players, and has been well supported in 2 window, so it wouldn't be unreasonable to have play off expectations (which is pretty much near where we are)?

No? None of those facts? Well, that's all that was in the post. So why the rudeness / attack (and of course the likes from you know who)?

And you can keep waiting, I’ve been busy, I’ll get back to you when and if I can be arsed. <ok>
