Nice to see a quiet day on this thread :emoticon-0102-bigsm

To summarise today's rumours from my point of view.

Beale - was highly rated, but didn't do well at Rangers and doesn't seem a good fit for us.

Antony Barry - linked with an internal job in this morning papers, another highly rated and obviously well thought of in the game.

The others I know nothing about unless I Google them, so can only wait and see

I don't get why people are writing off some of these young up and coming managers we are linked with, not sure about anyone else but I haven't got a clue about the majority of the ones mentioned!

It's no different to writing off a potential new signing that nobody has seen play. The club has proven many fans wrong with the transfers recently, and also with the appointment of Mowbray.

I'd rather we took the time to get the right person for our setup instead of looking at the usual merry-go-round of "experienced" managers.
Anyone KLD and KS see fit will do for me, obviously their will be some I'd have more of a personal preference for but I'm totally totally at ease with their decision making and the direction of the club.

After seeing some of the managers mentioned today i think I’d have f*cking Sam Allardyce back. Time for a Stella Unfiltered :emoticon-0102-bigsm

As we go through this head coach search, I’m really appreciating the benefits of our DoF model.

It’s supposed to bring stability and continuity through coaching changes, and it is. The fact that we have a very capable interim coach is part of it, but the whole thing feels much less of a roller coaster and more of an intentional evolution.

Compared to years gone by when we lurched reactively from one management regime to another, this feels great. Excited to see who KLS & KS bring in, because their track record in structure, recruitment and coaching is light years ahead of where we have been for the entirety of my time supporting the club.

Just able to check I'm first time today. What have I missed? Why's it still not Will Still still? Sorry couldn't resist the silly repeating the word still but genuinely wanting to know.

Granted its not necessarily new news, and it's nixon, but its something.

Just curiosity mate but, you only ever seem to appear during windows or manager changes.

When you do you often quote Nixon or post articles from him.

Nowt wrong with any of that, just wondering.

Just looking through the stats for Thelins Elfsborg team for the Allsvenskan season that just ended. They finished 2nd to Malmö on goal difference after losing to them on the final day. Averaged 2 goals a game, which was third best in the league. Created 53.8xG which was the third most in the league. Averaged less than 50% possession and had the most long passes in the league. Had 13 clean sheets which was joint most in the league and conceded 26 goals which was the best record in the league. This suggests to me that his teams are defensively sound and like to play on the counter attack and are very effective when they have the ball. If he is appointed it would signal a change in play style to more like we played against Leeds. Interesting.

Got this from wiki

Alan Nixon was Born David Roger Griffiths in Broxburn in 1949. His parents were brother and sister and this caused outrage in the small West Lothian Mining town. "Griffiths" was hastily adopted by an elderly couple (Ada and Dennis Nixon) from Dunoon who moved to MusselBrough at the insistence of the adoption authorities. Changing his name to Alan, they put him through school and University to reach the heady heights of some time journalist and social media WUM despite being afflicted by webbed toes on each foot

Fair point. I could speak up more during the season but generally don't have much more to add to what other people say. If I can add to the conversation then i will, usually just the lil snippets from his patreon, always good to share the wealth haha.

Please let's not forget the time my fatha saw Aouchiche outside the SoL

Dammit everything right apart from the middle name is Robert and I was born in Hartlepool in 1992

Possible init , Speakman brings in a foreign coach who demands he brings his own staff. Another club sees the opportunity to grab Dodds, who goes on to a great career elsewhere.
Just saying like.
