Got some news for you fella ... life existed before this forum - and I've ALWAYS been outspoken on the slaughter of innocents and unnecessary wars even before I got old enough to vote ... and my views are not confined to a predominantly football website ... ... but good to see you acknowledge that the barbaric slaughter of over 4,000 Palestinian kids can never be justified in ANY circumstances... think that's what you are implying ... I'm with you mate ... it's truly sickening and abhorrent
Yeh mate ... nukes always do ... without them we'd all be speaking Japanese now and Korean boys bands would have taken over the music industry ...
Ha! I honestly was waiting for you to pop along, we've had this convo before. Anyway as I said to Abe football time.
Anyways if saying it’s an inside job And there’s a point on writing lots that you don’t read….yeah I’m good with wasting my time if saying it was an inside job is saying nothing then fill your boots with your next load of garbage your gonna put down as nowt more than your own bias enjoy your football
you really need to look at the death toll the yanks were inflicting on the Japs plus the general population was on the edge of starvation . The idea that they needed the nukes to win the war is nonsense it just shortened it and therefore saved lives .
If the Yanks never dropped the bombs on Japan, millions of soldiers and civilians would have died from the fighting instead.
Mate if you want to buy the myth that dropping nuclear bombs on civilian population actually saved lives, that's your prerogative... I bought it too for a while ... but then I reached puberty and started asking some questions... the answers to which, gave me a much different perspective...
how do you think lives would have been saved by extending the war is their is no evidence that Japanese were going to surrender until the nukes and even then it took the second to convince some of the leaders .
... you honestly think the Japanese were thinking the Allies were about to surrender at the point the bombs were dropped?
well they could have just continued fire bombing city after city and s;lowly starving the general population to death while taking island after island while the Japanese died in huge numbers .
According to Rabbi Marvin Antelman, they believe sin is holy and should be practised for its own sake. Since the Messiah will come when people either become righteous or totally corrupt, the Sabbateans opted for debauchery: “Since we cannot all be saints, let us all be sinners.” Their blasphemous benediction “who permits the forbidden” later became the Illuminist “do as thou wilt” the expression of their “religious” feeling. Totally amoral, they believe the “end justifies the means.” (“To Eliminate the Opiate,”Vol. 2 p. 87)
I think the Japanese were on the brink of surrender, they were desperately trying to negotiate for the Soviets to maintain their none aggression agreement and not invade Manchuria. The ambassador from Japan in the Soviet Union repeatedly sent news back to the homeland that this was impossible, the Soviets will invade and the Japanese MUST surrender, the Emperor leaned towards this, the military elite denied it outright. No unconditional surrender, only conditional surrender. The Japs were, according to most historians and scholars, willing to sign a conditional surrender with the United States, preserving the Emperor and the military elite. The US, viewed a conditional surrender as a defeat and were absolutely not willing to accept anything other than unconditional surrender. The US also had a headache with the Soviets trying to claim more land from the Japanese Empire, something that the US also did not want. The idea was to bomb Japan with nuclear warheads to show the world the US' capabilities and force the unconditional surrender before the Soviet Invasion. The US preserved the Emperor anyway, but the military elite mostly committed suicide before arrest. The use of nuclear weapons is one of the most hotly debated questions on earth and will never be solved by a debate on Not606.
