Agreed W9, it was no disgrace Norwich and Swansea losing narrowly to Arsenal and Man Utd. I think once all three sides actually realise they can compete with the majority of the PL sides and have little to fear they will maintain their mid-table positions comfortably. All will probably add some new faces in January which should make the 2nd half of the season interesting. Wigan and Blackburn are facing an uphill battle but the 3rd drop place could be another mighty scramble for survival, we don't want to be part of it...

Fully agree there, you superhoops pissed me off mightily at the start of the season, but have mellowed a little now as had some decent banter with you ;) but I really do think that we have nothing to fear in this league, we played the best teams here, and frankly they are not that scary, yes we lost and drew against the super powers, but feel only man city dominated us in the last 20 minutes of their game.

All three promoted sides will stay up IMO , Wigan, Blackburn and Wolves to go down.

Oh come on, don't let our village idiot get to you. Chill out and enjoy the warmth of this thread. All three teams deserve their place in mid table, which for the first season is more than what could be expected. The plaudits are out with managers, pundits and players all seeing what we're all made of now. The rest of the season will only get harder as they try and adapt to our various forms of game. There are certainly 2 teams (Wigan, Blackburn) that are doing everything they can to go down and I won't be sorry to see them go. Would love to see Southampton join the top flight as well, maybe even Cardiff or Crystal Palace as well as I'd enjoy reading the banter. (Can't see Ipswich getting close).
Anyway onwards to next week. I'm sure things will get heated in the QPR/Norwich threads but whoever's dickheads decide to try and cause trouble, please remember that there's more DECENT fans out there than twats so DON'T tar us all with the same brush :)

Of course it is and lets hope for a good game .. plus good news we don't have Barton and maybe we get back Taarabt (love him or hate him that boy can play football)
It will be interesting as The inner steel of our side is growing fast as they all gel together ... Norwich are doing great and are a credit to the current league because i respect good football and your lot have got there through hard work ... this one could go either way for me and will matter not at the end of the season anyway as we will both survive

I'd be very surprised if Taarabt came in, especially given the system we're playing now. Derry for Barton and keep the same team as yesterday if Bothroyd is out.

yeah, never seen such a big bloke go over so easily, he'd be half decent if he spent as much time on his feet as he did on his arse.

Now now, this thread has been very well natured up to this point and I've enjoyed the good atmosphere. Let's not let one or two WUMs ruin it. Just ignore them.

I'm sure with Norwich vs QPR coming up soon it has potential to get heated, but there are decent fans in the majority on both sides. I personally hope for a fantastic game (and obviously for a QPR win!), but I won't be expecting anything other than a very strong Norwich team. They bettered us at their place last year and we will have to play magnificently to win. Hope we can all discuss the match with respect to one another.

Agreed but Holt was a cheating feck yesterday and has been at other times, Always feel pissed off when I msee that behaviour from any footballer but even more embarassing when the team captain does it.

I was very surprised to see him diving yesterday, surprised and disappointed. Didn't know he had that in him.

I can't comment in fairness, as I've only see him play a full game a few times and it's the first time I've seen him do it. The optimist in me thinks it's a one-off, but if you're capable of it once...

Brixton, it'll just make it more painful to swallow when his less cosmopolitan rivals stay up! Let him have his vitriol and his bile, he'll just look like a twat long term!

Clearly misses the point of the thread Scott - not often we see all three promoted clubs sitting pretty halfway up the premier league table. Fans of each sharing in the savouring of a fairly unique moment.

Bull (in every sense) in a china shop. We've evidently all got 'em but better to keep them penned.

I can't wait for Canaries vs QPR, think it's going to be a real fiery match, the match thread should be full of excellent banter.

The two clubs are run with opposite philosophies, QPR being the big spenders, and Norwich buying wisely and cheaply.

I think Norwich will win, it's the perfect Paul Lambert game.

I haven't proof read this for spelling by the way.
