Transfer Rumours Let's ignore the big ****ing elephant and blame the latest manager, again. Are we nearly there yet?

Anyone ever wonder what other managers watching us think of where we're going wrong, and Ten Hag?

This team looks like a bunch of passionless players searching for inspiration. It’s a mystery why we are still close to a European place. The number of goals scored in 10 games gives an idea of the main problem. When was the last time this team won convincingly ?

We need to get back to playing as a team and to play as if the players mean it (like an away banner correctly pointed out at Fulham).

In our team he would be lucky to get 15 touches in 10 games.
Pointless mentioning him in relation to us at the moment.
Actually, I completely disagree. With a striker of Kane's quality he becomes the sole focus, everything from the midfield forwards is targeted at him whereas we have a saturated attack with little or no finishing ability. £120m put on the table in front of Levi would have seen him coming our way - but no, the money men don't see the value in a move like that.

Rasmus and Obi Wan

No many then.

The reason why I mention it is because the lack of pace is a large factor in why our attack - whether it's the build up play OR counter attack is so cumbersome and ineffective. This then impacts on our goalscoring.

£120m is too much for a player that is on his last contract is a waste of money. We need to be looking to the future than peppering over the cracks.

That target man argument is a tired one. There ain’t a point having a target man when no one seems to be capable of targeting anyone. I agree with Diego that Kane will be a frustrated player if he were playing in this team in its current form.

With Barca allegedly looking to swap for Antony, it suggests that he too is firmly an expensive flop amongst many others. Players bought without a system to fit them in. If he goes, then Mount can take that right position. Mount needs a good run in a position that he can make an impact.

Well, you sound just like senior director material to me. The man is burning a hole in german football, more goals than anyone else- ever. To overlook the effect that a proficient striker like Kane has on the opposing defence is to understate his value as an attacker. Hojlund could play in the opposition's 18yd box and I doubt they would man mark him, Kane, however, has two markers on him at all times, every game he plays - watch some of the BM matches. Effectively he draws the opposition back into their own half, all on his own. The space left in that vacuum allows the BM midfield to build and support and provide no end of telling passes for Kane without having to worry about defence. Watch the highlights of BM v Dortmund.

So are you saying that Spurs weren't good enough for him or the PL too hard because his output has trebled since his move.

Answer to that question will run into equivalence logic contradictions. My bet is that Spurs would not have won eight out of the first ten games with Kane in the side. Granted, he’s guaranteed a trophy in Germany. But so is Bayern’s tea lady.

Yet scores all those goals and stuff.

Ask anyone at Real Madrid whether he was a defensive player. Or indeed, anyone but Wiki.

I'll give you he's what is termed a 'holding' midfielder, but a defender he is not.

Out of interest, was Michael Carrick defensive?
Tell you what mate
Carrick was massively underrated
And I hate saying that
The debate was always about Gerrard and Lampard when it should have been Carrick and who for England

Another hint at what might be causing Rashford to be losing form - he has been given extra time off before joining up with the England squad 'for personal reasons' - I do hope that whatever it is sorts itself out quickly so he can get back to form.
