Thats based from signing other Premiership players. Mahrez cost Leicester 500k for example?

I dont think theres ever a right time to get promoted, go for it get the money and give it a good go, whilst also making the club stronger. Whats the point in holding back?

Do you really think a small club like Bournemouth and Burnley would be where they are with that mentality?

Broadhead is a wide player. Simms has 2 goals this season both in the same game vs QPR. Stewart is injured. None of them would've made a difference today as we do not create chances for our forwards.

Sorry mate disagree again, when we got promoted under Read and the mags got promoted under Keegan, they were exactly the right time to get promoted.

Absolutely not. You have me completely wrong. The fact we have lost 5 or 6 this season already and have 1 win in 5 or so makes it feel that way.

I like positive comments but they have to be backed by reality.

I will mate but i get frustrated when we have a fanbase bigger than most Prem teams and we make so many obvious mistakes as a club by not signing someone who has number 9 on their back and has a history of scoring in England and has experience.

On a positive note, Ballard is the best defender ive ever seen play for us. He's immense.
Im not trying to be negative mate but what we are lacking and how weve missed out in recruitment was obvious today

Are you also saying Tony Mowbray is wrong too or negative ? He has said exactly the same tonight.

Can he knock himself out this evening ? Or is that only reserved to some on here who are happy to debate what's happening in front of them ?

Is it a record that a team gets to November in any league where none of their main forwards have scored a goal between them?

Maye, please don't quote me as it makes me feel like I have to reply
I try to ignore your posts as they are always tainted with a dig at the management or recruitment.

We have been down this road, you post more when we are not doing well, when things are good you barely post.

Probably best to put me on ignore

We go down to 10 men and get smashed 4-0. The opposition go down to 10 men and we scrape a 0-0 draw. I think there is a message in there somewhere.
Today, playing our well known passing game, we gave the oppo time to pack their penalty area. At one time I counted 6 men in their back line with midfielders and their attackers in front of them. Our approach was far too slow. An occasional long ball might have helped. But that is only my humble opinion; Uncle Tony knows a lot more than me - in fact, everybody knows a lot more than me these days.

You have to look at the bigger picture, yes can be frustrating that we aren't in the premier league, but we have a team that give their all, that understand what the shirt means to us and leave everything on the pitch.

I will forgive them all for the odd mistake as long as they continue to give their all for the shirt

Me too mate, but thats not going to make me stop speaking the obvious on here by saying weve missed a trick this season by not signing a recognised striker

    That's fair enough mate.

Nowt wrong with opinions, criticisms and anger ...

... but it's rapid, relentless and quickly becomes directed at anyone offering a defence.

Those criticising the club/manager/players never seem to disagree with each other, even if they put forward totally contradictory opinions to each other. So it can often become a group of people directing their anger at other supporters rather than the team. I've accepted the fact that having so many young players in a team can produce erratic results as well as wonderful football.

Some want us to buy existing Championship players and go up by any means ...

... I don't but aren't inclined to defend myself all night, especially when I'm so frustrated and angry with that result.

30 mins was dazzling play. As good as we can be and I felt certain it was opening up even more.

I used to hate playing against 10 men. There is always less attacking space to exploit. I always felt I could never run behind or ahead of my man because they were always 5 yards deeper. The longer you go without scoring the more compact the 10 men become. When we do attack v defence sessions we often put 2 extra attackers on to try and teach the defence to stay compact through the middle and give up the width. If defenders stick to the plan it becomes really diffucult to score. That is what happened today in my opinion. What we needed was some moments of individual skill to unlock it, maybe take a player out of the game, or a little give and go around a centre half. Too many of our clever players just couldnt quite find that today. Clarke, Pritchard, Neil all struggled to find that pass or movement.

I struggle to see much in Hemir I am afraid. For a big lad he is pretty static. He needed to push their centre backs around a bit for me. Rusyn looks like he has the ability and I would stick with him. I listen to Mowbray talking about space in the box and I get it. Swansea did well at closing the space. People may laugh at me, but I go back to when Lee Johnson arrived and he talked about POMO! He simplifies the game for Wyke by asking him to always get across his man to that area between the penalty spot and the post. Ross Stewart made that run a hell of a lot too. Our strikers need to learn that run but then Clarke and Roberts are going to have to put the cross in early for it. I am not suggesting that is the only way we play, but it is an extra attacking angle to exploit. I think most teams expect our wide men to cut in, we need to start going outside to come back in. Keep the pitch as big as possible for as long as possible.

Fair point, but I feel that the Dan Neil sending off unsettled out team more as we didn't have a defensive midfield player. Swansea lost an attacking midfield player and could just sit in and hold their defensive shape.
