I don't stream or get it direct from Sky. I get it from an EU provider as do all the bars etc in Spain. It is expensive but legal.
Perhaps he is trying for some form of record. In his last 3 appointments he has been sacked with his team bottom of the league and subsequently relegated - would 4 in a row get him in the Guinness Book Of Records?
I think we need to give Wagner some time. Injuries of deprived us of key players and there is no threat of relegation. I suggest that we let Ipswich get some glory and then have a chuckle next season, as no doubt they did when we went up.
Agree with that. A new manager now would be going back to square one yet again. Barnes should be available after the international break and that could make a huge difference, as could Sainz as he builds fitness and Hanley is getting near as well.
Until BK joins to make the appointment of a new head coach. If he goes now we will be coachless(?) For 23 days at least.
I don't often disagree with you Rick and I do accept that you have far more knowledge of the current goings on at the Club than I do but I just cannot see how the return of Barnes and Sainz is going to help. Every time a goal is conceded the defenders and midfielders seem to be looking at each other as if to say ' I thought it was your job to pick him up.' From what I see, read and am told the problem is that nobody either understands the system the Coach wants them to play or is incapable of carrying it out in which case the system has to be changed. On top of that his use of substitutes is strange verging on chaotic. As DH set out, our form over the last 25 games is relegation material so we are not talking about a short term problem which is going to be turned around by the return of a couple of players. I don't agree with Clubs sacking Managers because the Club loses, say, 5 games out of 6 but that is not the case with Wagner. We have been on the slide from the day he arrived and with his record over the last 25 games leaving us looking anxiously down the table when do we say enough is enough? In my opinion the question slightly changes to how much longer can we afford to give him? My answer is that his time is up and action needs to be taken before the situation gets even worse.
Winless since September is very worrying, if we lose at Blackurn then he should go. The winless run towards the end of last season was equally terrible, you can make excuses in the Premier league but at this level it should not be happening. No disrespect to Wagner he seems like a nice guy but it's looking like Webber brought his mate in as the easy option despite him relegating his last 2 clubs . We have the worst defense in the league & the only players that get dropped are the wide players & the strikers . Bizzare substitutions , he nearly always brings off Rowe who is our only attacking threat
I appreciate what you say but feel it would be a bit naive to think that SW and BK have not been in constant contact since the day the appointment was made and that even if action was taken now the appointment and identity of a new Coach would have been the decision of BK. If I am wrong then in December BK will have to assess the future and capability of Wagner, the appointment of a new Coach if that is the decision, the assessment of the squad, the requirements in the transfer window, how we can hang on to Sara and Rowe or the lowest offer we can accept among all other day to day aspects at the Club and the job bearing in mind that a new Coach would also need time to assess the squad before the transfer window opens. Can we really afford to wait?
IMO, Wagner's main problem recently and at the end of last season has been injuries. The loss of McLean, Hanley and Gibson at the end of last season was a hammer blow that destroyed our season. We started the season well in spite of losing Sainz, but the loss of both Sargent and Barnes took away our main attacking threat which Idah and Ui-Jo haven't been able to fill since. Barnes is a leader up front and we've missed that. Rowe still carries a threat but he alone hasn't been enough to worry other teams. That has put more pressure on our defence which hasn't risen to the occasion. Duffy has made far too many mistakes which aren't down to Wagner, so he should be replaced by Batth, who has only had a few brief cameos so far. We have little to lose giving Wagner more time now, as BK should have a clear plan for the tactics he wants played. My guess is those are going to be similar to Wagner's given the way the game is going. We have little scope for new players in January other than a loan, possibly from Arsenal. It would be risky now to plump for a relative novice like Wilshire without squad strengthening. A more experienced coach would want 'his type of players' coming in and that is difficult now, especially with the SW/BK dilemma we have now.
Little to lose Rick? Carry on as we are and disaster looms - win a few games and we start looking upwards again. The transfer window both ins and outs? Season ticket renewals - limit to supporters feelings and patience especially when money is tight. That's three for starters.
