I don't want to rub salt in a sore wound but it's deja vu, we have got a history of cheap options recently, LJ from Barnsley, DH promoted from within, even Nige having to shop in lower leagues for players, it's a Lansdown trait.
This last week is all pointless, unless we end up with someone who can really push us on, if we just return to type why get rid of Nige. It’s completely pointless. Even someone like Eustace I may not , actually I don’t, agree with their methods, but I can maybe see the point, a younger progressive manager kicked out not because of results but to appease new owners. On the other hand Nige coming to the end of his contract, ill health, not getting any younger, done the job we brought him to do, to stabilise us whilst we reset. In an odd, detached way it kind of makes sense. I just have a feeling we are going to be totally underwhelmed when the new manager is announced.
Nige is staying in hospital at the moment in Kings Cross having test. I have wondered if it’s something to do with his health more than performance hence the no contract talk. Plus two weeks ago Nige was questioned about it regarding his time spent unable to be on the training pitch.
