No it’s Marti Cifuentes for QPR so Warnock is still in the mix.

Eustace would be my choice, sacked because new owners want to look good back home!!! ... the American way?

I chose Eustace because of the way he got Birmingham playing - and it’s recent (this season), not years ago.
I think the players will know and respect that.
I do take what RP suggested - that he hadn’t been doing it very long and it could have been a ‘purple patch’ and that’s true. It’s going to be a gamble whoever is chosen.

There will be plenty of applicants of that you can be sure, although given the reputation of how our owner operates it begs the question why would anyone want the poisoned chalice that is Head Coach/Manager of Bristol City FC

You (and others) say this, but SL doesn't pull the trigger on his managers anywhere near as quickly as many in this division. Look at how many clubs in this division are on their second, third or more managers since NP took over at City.
If he did, both NP and LJ would have gone long before they did. I think most managers would welcome a chairman who gives you more rope to hang yourself than many others.

I agree, but the clubs who dismiss managers frequently (aside from possibly Watford !) don't take much heat from the media for their decisions, but this time, even the national press and the likes of Sky Sports have picked up on that it's possibly not a great place to work when you want some support from the owner, and the fans voicing their unhappiness on social media has added to it.
As fans we have our own opinion on how badly the club has been run over the last 20 years, but the owner is getting his dirty laundry hung out in public this time, and personally I'm glad.

Before they could just ignore us fans, it’s my club etc and take no notice, now with social media it’s not so easy, the fans seem to be letting their feelings be known, with NP being a known quality manager as well makes our criticism more valid. It doesn’t show the Lansdown’s in a good light. They will hate it.

Even Sky and Main stream channels are questioning the removal of Nigel Pearson. The Lansdowns really will not like it.

They did the same to Cotts, but got away with it because he’s not so high profile. Sacking NP now is in a different league and they are being shown for what that are. Clueless.

The football world in the past have wondered why we’ve never had success with everything we have going for us, with this latest debacle I think they’ll draw their own conclusions, we’ve a very wealthy owner who knows diddly squat about football and is frightened to employ people that do. He thinks he knows best.

They have wasted three years putting the club in a better position to go back to square one. Pathetic-Clueless-Stupid comes to mind.

We all know NP can be a bit prickly and difficult at times, so what, his hearts in the right place, he knows his onions and will do things for the best of the club. If they’d given him their full backing and another year to get success, bearing in mind the S**t show he took over people would accept it, but they haven’t, and have back handedly tried to shaft him. Not a good look.

Bristol City manager latest as Jon Lansdown reveals Nigel Pearson successor discussions
The hunt is underway for Bristol City’s next manager after parting company with Nigel Pearson.
    https://www.bristolworld.com/sport/...ger-latest-jon-lansdown-nigel-pearson-4391472

Interestingly, Lansdown referred to the role as head coach, rather than first-team manager, perhaps outlining a change in structure at the club. A head coach trains and picks the team, whereas as a manager has more of a say in to player purchases and sales.

Bit of a contradiction mate, if he’s not frightened of employing football people why has he put his trust in Tinnion.

Not really in the same category, Tinnion can be manipulated, he’s the nodding donkey.

To be fair we were facing relegation under Cotts. With NP we were a point off the play off places a week ago so quite different.

He is though, it was his vision with the academy that has brought us the £35 million last year.
I get that you are angry and understand that you wanted Nige to stay, (I did as well) but we can’t change that decision. But let’s not make things up by saying they don’t want non footballing people when they’ve got him at the club feeding them right or wrong information. It’s been touched on in a report that he expressed his concern over fitness and health. No one is going to come out and say “we didn’t think Nige was well enough to continue”. We are all second guessing what went on in that meeting.

At the end of the day we are Bristol City fans and some of us will be here longer than the Lansdown’s and Tinnion have gone. Nige is gone, we’ve got to move on and hope they choose the right person to either carry on what was happening or even better push for promotion.
