Yeah. With Slater available this season, played 9 points 16. Without Slater available, played 3 points 1. Slater wasn't a Rosie signing originally but he has put significant trust in him.
I guess we will find out just how much sentiment they have. I understand your point about ambition, tonight and Saturday are more key than perhaps a lot of people might think. It’ll certainly give us an idea of which direction we are going in. Results weren’t that kind last night, but we aren’t miles off the top six. Need 4 points from the next two to stay in touch.
It reads well and gives hope. But then you read the reality in that last paragraph!! Having said that, I can't actually make sense of the '2 in 18 at home this year' statz quote, that doesn't appear to be correct? Side note, posts saying things like "if results don't improve, some will be happy and get their way", as in Rosenior will get sacked, are just plain wrong & stupid. I doubt anybody on here wants to see Rosenior fail and get sacked. We all surely want him to be incredibly successful.
Thats a good point But also how long can we keep saying we could have won this It seems to happen every home game, its a bit of a pattern
Tough tonight new manager home bounce and effort , I think he’ll set them up to hassle and muscle us out of our stride, get a lead then sit deep as we all know we struggle don’t we ? We are on a hiding to nothing tonight but I hope our quality shows up - will sit nervously watching !
Not only that he had hot and cold spells. Would score a brace or hat trick then go ages without looking like scoring. 14 was a decent return, but not the whole picture.
He started 13 times ... came on as sub 3 times after being dropped against West Brom and was not in the match day squad for the last 9 matches, even using Ryan Longman up top with the addition of Harry Vaughan. Not a bad ratio then if he scored 8 before he came and 4 after and only starting 13 and coming on in 3...
Didn't he score 7 in his first 6 then nothing for ages? He scored in fits and starts. Usually multiples in the same game then ineffective in the majority. Unlike Delap and Conolly, if he wasn't scoring like in the majority of games, he gave us nothing else.
The good strikers get the important goals at the right time usually , plus the twos when the match is one sided . Don’t think Oscar would get the first type too often
Some have called for his head already. Think the quote after saturday was '**** off rosenior you ****ing gobshite'. So clearly some already want him gone.
I keep asking Leicester supporters whenever I get the opportunity. Will have to knock it on the head at some point though.
That's one. And I'd guess that even he (?) would much prefer it if Rosenior was incredibly successful. I might be wrong but I suspect they are saying that because of things like 2 wins in 11 at home, utter frustration at how ****e we are still in attack with little to no sign of any improvement in that area, etc. whilst he continues to talk like a Mourinho MkII. Hopefully it all starts clicking from today and the increasing doubts & frustration start disappearing.
It's one example. It certainly wasn't just one on here, or on twitter. At least one other on here candidly stated they never wanted him in the first place (not that we'd have guessed from his posts lol) I simply can't see what is wrong with the statement that some want him gone when clearly there are those who do nor can I see why you're being defensive about it. And even if it does click from today, the same ones will be desperate for a couple of defeats to justify their vitriol and start gloating again at the first opportunity.
