Charon is right, though. The defence doesn’t look as steady without Macca in it. Against a physical side like Brum I’d have him and Jones in there. Jones was at fault today for the second goal, but Greaves in general hasn’t looked as assured this season.

In January I’d be reassessing the full back options. Most of the top teams play with pacy full backs, ours are super slow. I know Kameldeen is quick, but he made Christie look like a statue.

So again it’s the fans’ and owner’s fault we lost because we pressured Rosenior into playing an ‘attacking team’ at home? We play with two holding midfielders. We lost today because the manager got his subs wrong and we sat off them in the last 15 minutes and basically invited them to try and score a goal.
Agree on that I’m just saying IF he is pandering to fans or the owner this is what you get . We have two attacking full backs , one who’s slow in defence . We could put greaves back at left back - but some think he’s crap there ! I think he makes us more solid - Macca is physically stronger in defence. I would hate to think he isn’t following his own mind - first half we were excellent and on the reasons I’ve given should have been well in front . Saints fan said ‘ had Hull taken their chances , they would have been chasing the game ‘ it’s not the fans fault unless he bows to their superior knowledge .

Our next three games are:-

25/10 Birmingham away

28/10 Preston home

4/11 West Brom away

Acun will be looking at picking up 4 points at least from the possible nine available. I think the clock is ticking on Liam's tenure as coach at City, this is a results based business and Acun & Tan want results.
We'll be lucky to get 1 from those three

doesnt he watch the streams?
that can be a better view than being at the match
Watching on TV/stream you miss so much compared to watching in person. Can’t see a lot off of the ball work and such, tv you only see where the ball is. This isn’t a dig or anything but Sydney said he thought twine had been playing well when he’d seen him. I’ve seen every home game in person and every time twine has played I think he’s been very very average and that’s being kind. He got an assist today which was good but I genuinely forgot he was even playing most of the time. His corners were ****e today as well. Tufan needs to start next game and hopefully lokilo is fit as I thought he had a really good game today, proper winger.

I think there has been a big overreaction today - and I don’t think the blame can be put on Rosenior.

We played well but ran out of steam. Sometimes you have to give credit to the opposition. The subs didn’t make the impact that they should and apart from Delap going wide (and later off), I agreed with the changes Rosenior made.

I do think the next 2 games are a big test to see how far we’ve come however. I think 4 points is a reasonable expectation. Anything less than 3 and this board will go in to full meltdown. :bandit:

Had Lokilo been right footed in the 1st half he would have got behind their defence several times , instead he had to give Christie it to do that

The game changed with the substitutions, but not because they were poor substitutions, the problem was Tufan and Connolly both doing absolutely nothing when they came on.

So poor substitutions then..... If they came on and won us the game everyone would be saying fantastic subs. You can't have it both ways

Anything less and I think another board will go into meltdown, not this one!!!!!

I tend to agree with Kalman and some of the content in his posts,it makes perfect sense.

We sat off them and allowed them to dominate with 15-20 minutes to go and sadly we were punished accordingly. They are a good side, can't argue with that,so allowing them so much possession was footballing suicide.

We've got some really decent individuals this season but that's what they are...'Individuals'.

Rosenior...Ilicali will be his judge and that's as should be.

So he's now digging at the players for playing exactly how he's asked them to?

After mentioning he needs to educate the fans a few weeks ago he now says the same applies to the players. With his successful track record in football I'm sure we'll all be better off listening to what he has to say and hopefully it will help many of us understand why he's so highly rated in the game. We can't help it if we're thick football fans, can we?

If LR does read this forum, then my two-penneth appraisal, would be:
Shot shy City, shoot themselves in the foot...
I could swear that Seri had the ball at his feet on the edge of their box, with time on the ball, on at least two occasions. A shot would have had their keeper earning his bread. Instead the ball went wide to Lokilo on both occasions and the chance was gone...Don't get me wrong we played well today, could have won, worth a point easily against a decent Southampton, but trying to walk the ball in will not win football games, we get easily crowded out...End of.

They came on to win the game but didn’t , then did nothing to ensure we didn’t lose it - that’s the difference - but yes fickle fans want it all ways don’t we

I'd argue the sub he didn't make cost us. Seri was struggling with the back and forth. I noticed a few times teammates were encouraging him to fight through it. Amazed he played a full 90 seen as he got back from Africa on Thursday
