Thought we played well today and probably should’ve scored more if we weren’t so wasteful with our chances. However, for the last 15 minutes we looked content to play for the draw. We just invited constant pressure from then on and they kept looking for the winner and got it. We needed to be braver. Playing for a draw at home in the last 15 minutes isn’t the best mentality.

whether we play well or not
its another home game without a win

20th in form table for home this season

something like 4 wins in the last 16 home games, its all well and good playing well, but something is not right for this bad form[/QUOTE]

I need to give that a lot of thought and work out what it could be. I'll get back to you with the answer unless the owner susses it out first.

1 win in 7
Poor home form
Acun will want to see some return on his investment.

Ooh a few more coming off the fence!! I only said I'm indifferent wether he stays or goes now. Interesting several now saying (and likes agreeing) he should go or shouldn't have been appointed. Not surprised.

LR was backed in the transfer window to build the squad he wanted. I see very little improvement over the last half of last season, when, apparently, the Squad was holding us back.

The only thing wrong with the squad is that the best players in it keep getting injured.

I absolutely would be keeping LR, we can’t keep being reactionary every time we lose, which this season has been three times by the end of October.

If that’s not good enough for a side in transition, I don’t know why some have such high standards. We expect the playoffs, not sure why, but playing like today and the results we’ve had will probably see us there or there abouts.

If we had lost five in a row and looked dross, I would be questioning the manager, but having just suffered our third loss all season (in a manner that will always amplify raw emotion), having played the teams we have played, I think some need a reality check.

Ah well, we matched a better team for 90 minutes. Was a good performance, play like that against most other sides in this division and we win. The reason we aren’t higher is because we haven’t been playing like that.
There was a lot to like about the way we played up to the last 20 minutes, but the decision making near their goal let us down. Delap/Philogene gives us a lot of young talent, but also a lot of inexperience and poor decisions when they get into good positions. Twine seems a long way off being the right man in the no 10 (although he did get the assist so not entirely negative I suppose). Lokilo looked good as well after a slow start and Morton was the best outfield player until the last 30 seconds.
Same old same old.
Good of you to summarise your slagging off of the manager, save us reading the rest of it.

We’ve beaten Leicester, Stoke, Sheffield Wednesday and Blackburn. Those weren’t flukes.

The only “**** teams” we’ve lost to are Ipswich, who although newly promoted are flying atm.

We came up against probably the second best of the relegated teams and their quality took 95 minutes to show through.
The Leicester win absolutely was a fluke, they battered us and we won 1-0 from deflected shot :emoticon-0102-bigsm pretty much the definition of a fluke

We beat Wednesday yes but so have 9 other teams this season, not exactly an achievement

The reality check....Only 2 teams have less points then us at home this season. LR has been with us pretty close to a year now. Yes he has improved us defensively and made us harder to beat. But I think we've reached the ceiling ( or at least are very close ) to what he can do with us. I just don't think he has the experience and knowledge to turn us from a difficult to beat mid table team, into a play off challenging team. As I've said, if we are happy with that then fair enough. But I'm not so sure Acun&Tan are....

I see you're still happy with being mediocre.... Now you've actually learnt what it means ;)

The manager has just said the team needs to shoot more and stop making mistakes. A Millwall fan could have told us that. So, with that observation and him saying he wants to accelerate the education of the group it sounds as though we can expect some scintillating attacking displays in the future. Whether he'll be given time to sort it out is another matter.

Personally I think our defence has gone backwards this season as well. Not to Shota levels obviously, but stupid mistakes here and there, players out of position, opposition unmarked in the box etc. Wouldn't be a problem if we were scoring freely but we're not so it is

So he's now digging at the players for playing exactly how he's asked them to?

We lost because :
Pandering to either some of you lot or the owner again like at Ipswich he puts out an attacking team.
Saints were very experienced and had quality
We are very inexperienced
Our fowrds don’t shoot
Our forwrds are static in the 6& 18 yd box
Our wing men don’t look to pull the ball back , but the previous note applies
Neither Tufan , Connolly , Manesh ordid any defensive work when they came on nor closed people down - Jadennwas guilty if this most of the game
Delap should have stayed on as he actually keeps a ball
The subs came on to score goals but forgot to help when not in posession
Saints played very good one twos and moved around the ball well . My complaint is we play to feet in set positions and get blocked off .
Our decision making around the box is letting us down

these are all player faults - you cannot put the whole lot on Rosie - BUT he has to sort it

Thought he got his subs wrong today. We were matching them in intensity and pressing until Twine and Christie went off. Thought taking Twine off when he did was odd as he was playing well and getting on the ball a lot. Can’t remember Tufan even touching the ball when he came on. I love Coyle but bringing him on for Christie just proves we were settling for a draw imo.

The one player I thought should’ve gone off second half was Philogene. Not because he played bad but because he looked dead on his feet second half. Allahyar and Sinik for Philogene and Lokilo might have kept us in the game more. Our passing and overall momentum just fell flat midway through the second half.
