Meslier - 7. Nothing to do really but his distribution was good and he was alert enough to save Watfords best chance in injury time which shows he remained focused.

Shackleton - 6. Busy, good positioning, good engine. His passing leaves a lot to be desired.

Struijk - 9. Loving his new found aggression. When he's passive the game happens around him. With his aggression he impacts the game. Credit where its due, he's been very good the last two games.

Cooper - 7. Discussion before the game whether he should be drafted in. Proved Farke right with a very good display. Still had his nervy moment early on between him and Meslier. That's twice in two games. That communication needs sorting before it costs us.

Byram - 9. Another excellent game. Capped off with a goal but showed great defence and skill throughout. Fast becoming a key player. Can we keep him fit?

Ampadu - 9. Usual MOM performance. £8 million is the steal of the century. Nothing else to say but we are very lucky to have him play at this level. A massive upgrade on Tyler Adams.

Kamara - 7. Really solid full debut. Complimented Ampadu superbly. A bit sloppy in possession sometimes but read the game well. Rotating Gray and Kamara won't present any problems and will allow Gray to flourish.

James - 8. Ran hard, committed, covered alot of ground. A bit frustrating with some of his decisions but at the end of the day put our two best chances on a plate for Georginio who fluffed his lines and Piroe for the opener. 2 assists today.

Summerville - 8. Very influential. Watford another team blatantly allowed to just haul him down everytime he gets the ball without punishment. Only criticism is that his finishing was off and he wants too many touches. If he finds his shooting boots he can get 20 goals this season.

Piroe - 8. For me, he drops too deep at times but he was more influential today and played some lovely balls through. An eye-catching one to James first half was particularly pleasing. On hand to tap in the opener from a great cross by James. I've a feeling everyone else in the team would have missed that one.

Georginio - 9. What a talent! Gets better every game. His footwork is way too good for this level. His one black mark was the missed sitter first half. Great game. Excellent assist for the third.

Subs.

Anthony - 7. Finally showed us what we might have from him. Created a good chance for himself but choreographed the finish but made no mistake from Georginio pass a few moments later. Hopefully he kicks on from here.

Poveda - n/a. 86 mins. Created a bit of havoc as Watford gave up.

Gray - n/a. 86 mins. Saw the game out.

Gruev - n/a. 90 mins. Too late to impact the game. Yet to see what he has to offer.

Ayling - n/a. 90 mins. Got skinned and gave Watford their best chance. Can't wait to see Spence out there.

Spot on. I would have given Summerville a 9 and Kamara deserved an 8

My letter to our leader…..

Dear Elland

Your efforts to create replies and clicks on this site are admirable and shameless even if they are transparent at best. Coops is not Beckenbaur no matter how you dress it up no matter how funny it is to read.

Great leaders shoulder responsibility and admit when they are wrong and are liked even more for it.

What I have seen today is as good as anything I saw from Raphinia, albeit the so deserved goal was missing. I said to Ben, that’s not a Premier League player, that’s a Champions League player and we will do well to hold on to him in January never mind the end of the season.

When I was playing in the local golf society, if your tee shot didn’t go past the ladies tee, it was trousers down until the hole was finished.

I would rather hope your magnanimous reply gets you, at least, 15 replies or likes (my finger is poised for an immediate like :emoticon-0148-yes:) so we are both happy but……

Ell, trousers down, time to apologise to Georginho, the kid was magnificent.

Rutter was awesome and some of the stuff he did today means he is more than worth £35m, if he goes he goes for at least £50m based on what we’ve seen so far this season. So Elland you really need to get Victor Orta tattooed on your ball bag <laugh>

Great team performance today we outclassed a solid championship side but to be fair we have in majority of games this season and we really should have more points on the board. but nevertheless you can see the cogs beginning to work thought everyone did their job today and everyone got over 7/10. Struijk is a confidence man when its up you see a much better player Rutter is starting to show us what we were told he had seems another who needs a arm around him and when things are going well he grows in confidence. Sam Byram keeps surprising me I will hold my hands up for this one I thought wtf are we bringing him in for and now I think he's a vital cog in our current setup. no MOM for me this one goes down as a team performance and we gave them absolute nothing. the goal took longer than i wanted but when it came there was noway back for Watford it was a mauling and we really should of added another 2-3 goals. very happy chappie tonight the cogs are in motion the goals are coming the clean sheets are back time to crack on now and hope ladyluck keeps the injuries away because if we keep 75% of this squad fit we deffo challenging the top 2 spots. apart from Ipswich we have battered every team so far. ok the results might not of matched so far but the teething problems are solving and the transfer saga has settled and the team are now settled and getting better each game. still going to be some ups and downs but we deffo gonna have more ups for sure and some teams are going to get a hiding which is always good for our weekends and feel good factor.

I admit to early Saturday night euphoria. Watched that and was blown away, as good as anything I have seen since the best of Bielsa, literally brilliant. Woe betide any team that concedes two in the first ten minutes against us, if that team is having fun, watch out…

Meslier - faultless and great save.

Shaks and Coops, 7 or 8, limited, errors but probably as good as most teams have available.

Kamara, we didn’t miss Archie, always seemed to be there when a player was missing.

Struijk and Byram immense.

Someone, can’t remember who (<whistle>) said Ampadu, Rodon and Spence (god help teams when he is fit) were fantastic signings. We will do well to keep Ampadu beyond January too, what a player.

Now, from a coaching perspective try and keep Leeds out.

Piroe just reminds me so much of Viduka. He’s there, he shields the ball, he lays the ball off, he’s definitely not rapid, decent with both feet but… I said to Ben at half time, we need the one really good chance to fall to him. We know what happens next… so how many defensive players do you commit to him?

Georginio (as the spelling police pointed out) took players out at will all over the pitch. One? Two? Three or Four, didn’t matter, he slaughtered them. Surely you can’t have more than two on one at this level but it’s not enough.

Jimmy constantly took players out everywhere (for the golden chance he made for himself it was four), so how many to stop him on form?

Anthony took two out for his missed chance before he slotted the second so? One or Two?

Gnonto? Apparently the most expensive value player in the Championship (don’t personally agree), seems to be a minimum of two clodders every game.

But, here is the really funny one, Ben astounded me after the game when he said Dan James has the most assists this season in the Championship (even if Emu tries to take some off him <whistle>). Quick? Yep. Skillfull? Erm.. Good footballing brain? Erm…. Best foot? Erm (personally thought one would be a good start but, heh, the game has moved on). Good in the air? Erm…. Strong? Erm… Good balance? Erm… and yet, somehow we could get our money back on him <laugh>

Georginioooooo

Not seen outrageous skill that was so breathtakingly effective like that in a very very long time. Plus he absulutely worked his socks off for the team and all with a massive smile on his face.
Wasn’t he just fantastic mate? I am delighted (and not a little jealous) for you, WJ and Chesh in particular, the guys that are always there because the last two years have been less than enjoyable for me. You’ll need to make the spare bed up for Eire if this carries on :emoticon-0148-yes:
