Players not good enough simple as. You’ll all cop on around April to the fact. Personally fed up to the back teeth with same discussion here and elsewhere. I’ve far more important things at present to focus on. So best of luck with next appointment. Very tempted to take an extended break from all things Leeds. As they say. Report back when there’s something new

Sorry guys, I had to break off the forum for half an hour to take a shower.

I bet I enjoyed mine in the bathroom more than you did yours on the pitch.

You’ve reminded me how joyous it could be next season if we are relegated, as seems likely.

I hear you. It’s a squad too good for the championship but not good enough for the PL. It will take more than a new manager to change that. I’m not saying Farke is the best guy for the job… he has his weaknesses like all of them… but the relentless character assassinations that are everywhere (milder on here to be fair) are energy draining,

That’s what you get when you get your PL manager from Temu

Just got myself home after a wet and miserable day at Elland Road.

Had a quick read through and thought I'd just address a few things.

Taking Tanaka off was absolutely the right decision. He was on a yellow for a clumsy tackle in the middle of the park and then did a very similar tackle a bit later. Luckily the ball fell to a Villa player and the ref played advantage. The ref had a word with Tanaka as he ran past him a couple of minutes later. I'm guessing it was a final warning. The Villa bench and players were putting huge pressure on the officials to send him off at the time. He had then done a couple more sliding tackles that went his way. It was slippery, he was on his last warning and he was still flying in to tackles. He was fantastic but he was literally a walking red card at that point. I'd have taken him off earlier.

The whole fan base were singing Dan James name after 60 minutes and that turned in to "Make a sub, make a sub, make a sub" to the "here we go" tune. The fans in the ground are starting to turn so it will be curtains for Farke soon enough. You lot who want him out better hope that a new manager improves us because I have a little black book with names in it and I'll be handing out receipts.

One other thought is that we have to dip in to the transfer market in January and the key position we need to address is the goalkeeper. Perri is just a bigger version of Meslier. Karl Darlow is our best keeper. Let that sink in. Karl Darlow is our most talented keeper! Perri is absolute dogshit

The positives are that the lads played with much more intensity today. They were clearly fighting the good fight. They needed fresh legs about 15 minutes earlier than the time they were put on.

We need to wake the players up after their half time naps too. Its been a recurring theme under Farke that we start the 2nd half too slow.

I’ve never been fully committed to the Farke out argument but zero points from Burnley, Forest and now Villa is pretty disastrous so I don’t know what else can be done other than a change of coach to see if he can get more from this squad. The only trouble I have is I don’t know who. In this situation Nuno or Dyche would have been the obvious candidates, so Steve Cooper is the best shout I’ve read on here.

I think Farke is stubborn. Emery switched it up at half time and there was no reaction from Farke. I remember Bielsa saying that he wanted one more CB than forwards. They put 2 up top and Farke didn't react.
I just don't think we have the players for our system. With 3 at the back you're playing to Bogle and Gudmunsson strengths as wing backs. Bijol could step into MF so it's flexible too. If he keeps it the same he needs to sort out the left side, maybe by bringing Justin in. Aaronson is not a winger, James showed the difference when he came on. DCL isn't better than Nmecha, Nmecha struggled because he was isolated.
Okafor couldn't get past his FB. We're currently going down with a whimper and I'm dreading next week.

The guy who has taken over at Southampton has revolutionised them.

I don’t mind cooper, one thing sticks with me about him though, when forest beat us 1-0 in our relegation season. The game that got marsh sacked. In that game we battered them in the first half and conceded to their only attack, in the second half they parked two buses. Got the win. One of several weaknesses of Marschball was an inability to break down low blocks and we had all the ball but were ineffective in the second half,

In his post match interview, cooper basically said, he had no idea what had happened in the first half and needed to watch the game back … so he just chucked extra defenders on for the second half.

I admired his honest assessment of the game. I wonder what those who question Farke’s tactically capability think of the above. Given everyone knew what was coming with marschball.

I'm not Farke's biggest fan myself. We are too cautious in possession, his subs rarely work and they happen too late and he is a reactionary coach. Instead of pushing changes to gain an advantage, he waits to see what the opposition do before making his move. Its frustrating. Around 3 minutes in today we played a diagonal ball out to Okafor and he had Matty Cash 1v1. The ball ended up with Perri 15 seconds later who went long and we lost possession. It drives me crazy.

However, It seems Farke is getting the blame for literally everything. If a dog ****s in Docs garden he is probably stood looking at it screaming "Farke Out!" Its quite amusing sat back reading the comments over the last couple of weeks. Its not just Doc by the way.

I’d have taken the Southampton job - they were dominating games and creating chances pretty much every game. They just couldn’t buy a break. Stevie wonder could see they have one of the best squads in the division and would climb the table once a few shots went in. Don’t think we’re comparable.

All those things are true, but what drives me crazy is that people can’t see that if - at the end of the game - we’ve had more and better chances than the opposition… with a relatively sh*t squad, then he’s doing something right.

And that has happened in most games this season

He can’t kick it in the net himself

Fine, but I thought people were saying that the championship and premier league are worlds apart, i.e. Farke is a “championship” manager unless your point is a change of coach can be effective. I may have misunderstood.

And I don’t want to come over as irrational, Farke can’t control everything but as I said I don’t know what else can be done to stop this downward spiral.

    possibly nothing sadly

for me, when you see the players stop running, heads dropping earlier every week… you might as well change the manager. As long as we’re giving ourselves chances to win… you don’t.
