****ing awful. Almost every goal we concede this season could have been avoided. RM is not the man for us.we will be lucky to finish mid table. Rm is what he is. Whoever is responsible for Nat Jones.selles and now RM should be getting the chop too

dave jones?
I think the issue is we are not even giving che or Adam clear chances. Except the first goal every pass cross hits the defender. Not sure Piroe would fix that.Piroe scores goal 4 at Leeds, excellent work SR.

The bit that still blows my mind, is that we really should have lost by three or four again today. Against the bottom team playing with no confidence.

RM on Charly Alcaraz:
I see the players every day. Charly is young, he doesn't speak the language much, if at all. We're asking him to play in a style with a lot of structure. He knows there's things he has to do better. I said it to Gilly, I knew that I would get criticised for not bringing him on, but it's about who you can trust at this moment in time.
You're either all in with the team or you're not. At the minute, Charly needs to come over to that side really.
It's been a difficult time for him. He's lost Willy, he's lost Lyanco - those were his two best mates in the group. He's a young man, he's miles away from his home. He's had some difficult news about his dad too. All of that is going on, but people don't see it or understand it.
At some point, he will be on the pitch for us and he will be fantastic but now is not the right time for him, while this team is struggling.
If Charly's comprehension of English is too poor to understand the system, maybe that's a good thing?Every starting player on that pitch other than Jan speaks English as their first language. Didn’t really work out too well. Along with the famed “structure”.

Exactly this. Thought Holgate was sound until that moment.Things that made that goal avoidable:
1. Holgate was not a good choice of recipient to receive the ball
2. Holgate was sleeping on where the pressure was going to come from
3. Somebody could've let him know with a shout to get it away
All the Saints around me did too, didn’t work live either.I tried calling out but he didn’t hear me.
I told you Saints are a registered charity, giving teams that need help, all the help they need.Struggling for form? Need a goal? A home win?
Then give Southampton FC a call, where they will help with all your struggling needs. Guaranteed.
So it’s becoming clear that if a player doesn’t follow Martin’s instructions to the letter they get sidelined, even if he is one of our only creative and unpredictable players.
Ian Branfoot springs to mind.
