****ing awful. Almost every goal we concede this season could have been avoided. RM is not the man for us.we will be lucky to finish mid table. Rm is what he is. Whoever is responsible for Nat Jones.selles and now RM should be getting the chop too

He’d quite rightly tell us to f**k off after the way we treated him !

I think the issue is we are not even giving che or Adam clear chances. Except the first goal every pass cross hits the defender. Not sure Piroe would fix that.

The bit that still blows my mind, is that we really should have lost by three or four again today. Against the bottom team playing with no confidence.

If only we had a clever, creative attacking midfielder at the club :bandit:

Yep they were very wasteful & unlucky.

No matter what Deano says on the commentary we were absolutely smashed today. They were by far the better side.

    Typed it up.

    RM on Charly Alcaraz:

I see the players every day. Charly is young, he doesn't speak the language much, if at all. We're asking him to play in a style with a lot of structure. He knows there's things he has to do better. I said it to Gilly, I knew that I would get criticised for not bringing him on, but it's about who you can trust at this moment in time.

You're either all in with the team or you're not. At the minute, Charly needs to come over to that side really.

It's been a difficult time for him. He's lost Willy, he's lost Lyanco - those were his two best mates in the group. He's a young man, he's miles away from his home. He's had some difficult news about his dad too. All of that is going on, but people don't see it or understand it.

At some point, he will be on the pitch for us and he will be fantastic but now is not the right time for him, while this team is struggling.

Just read RM’s comments in the Echo and he is pleased with the midfield and it’s ahem creativity.
    Same 3 next week then.
And Manning was rested for tiredness and recovery, coming on second half to “give us balance” because we really needed another player in midfield in place of a defender.

Every starting player on that pitch other than Jan speaks English as their first language. Didn’t really work out too well. Along with the famed “structure”.

If Charly's comprehension of English is too poor to understand the system, maybe that's a good thing? <laugh>

Quite. It sounds like he’s worked RM out, in all honesty. If Charly is feeling down, maybe allowing him to play and contribute might be a way to cheer him up a bit?

Exactly this. Thought Holgate was sound until that moment.

I remember this was another warning from the Swansea fans; that RM freezes out players randomly.

Literally every thing they warned us about came true. It's so shameful that our club is so predictably comical.

I told you Saints are a registered charity, giving teams that need help, all the help they need.

So it’s becoming clear that if a player doesn’t follow Martin’s instructions to the letter they get sidelined, even if he is one of our only creative and unpredictable players.
    Ian Branfoot springs to mind.

They’re making these daft mistakes exactly because they’re terrified of not following instructions. It makes Ralph’s automations look simple.

Martin apparently got a fair amount of stick when he went over to fans at end.
