If Acun wants a 12th man and buzzing atmosphere as a media man he needs to get someone onto something like this, fan engagement...

He is one of 4 I think at the top of the goal charts but has had the least minutes on the pitch to score said 4 goals, amazing how many goals he has in fact scored, doesn’t sound like a goal every 4/5 attempts…

The Binks thing happened behind him, as he was following Philogene or whoever it was, haring up the wing miles from Delap and Binks. If anyone was going to see it, it would've had to be the linesman. The persistent fouling, as I think I mentioned in another post, was hard to get on top of because it wasn't one player and there wasn't one particular tackle that was worthy of a yellow. I'm genuinely not sure whether the rules allow a ref to book a player for persistent fouling by his team rather than just by him, but I suspect not. So I think his hands were tied a bit on that. Cov were very clever.

Sometimes we're good, often we're not. It's generally linked to the scoreline. There's just such a misery around live football fans these days. I don't know when it happened but we've become such an entitled, miserable set of people. I stand in North and was trying to get stuff going a bit when it was quiet at times yesterday but people are just so much more invested in moaning about the performance than doing anything to help it. I'd really love to see more people just get more enthusiastic about supporting the team regardless of the scoreline, we used to do that a lot better. But right now I think there just aren't enough people in the ground with that mindset.

It's within the Laws of the Game that if a particular player is targeted, whether by a single opposition player or numerous opposition players, it can draw a sanction. I think it falls under persistent fouling but is sort of the reverse to the more common version (multiple fouls by the same player). So even if it's a player's first foul, if it's one in a long line of fouls targeting a single player, it's still a bookable offence.

I tried looking up the Laws of the Game to support this but can't find specific wording, but remember clearly being told about this when I did a refs course maybe 5 years ago. Someone else might be able to corroborate.

EDIT: This site mentions it, but dunno how reliable it is:

Some of those fouls were worthy of a booking in there own right.

I have managed to see the full game now, which I enjoyed. 2 good teams going head-to-head, and in the end I think a draw was a fair result. We could have easily won it, but Coventry are a good side, so a point is not to be sniffed at.

I thought Jones and Greaves were excellent, apart for their goal which was a bit lax, they were solid all game. Seri is a joy to watch and had a good game. Philogene looks a real baller and will only get better. Morton will be a great addition, and can see him taking Slaters regular place alongside Seri. Both Christie and Lokilo did well when they came one, so we certainly look stronger from the bench this season.

There seems to be some negativity of Twine's performance, and agree he didn't have his best evening, but a plus was he saw a lot of the ball, and was getting into some really good positions, so I think given time it will click with him. Just one of those off days, but if he keeps getting into the right areas, then goals will come.

We can certainly improve, which we did 2nd half, and at least Liam knows how to change a game by adjusting things. Looking forward to the Leeds game, and hope Jaden makes a fool of Ayling, as I can stand the twat.

Rovers have certainly hit on a good club song and the clip is impressive. However football fans we are treated differently than those at rugby league games. The East Stand at Craven Park is like the Kempton at Boothferry, only better because you can bring your beer onto the terraces, and there's no police stood amongst and staring into the crowd as we get at football. So rugby league, or HKR anyhow, have got it spot on, standing terracing, let the fans behave like human beigns without restrictions, searches, cctv trained on them, countless over offical stewards in the stands etc etc and I wish we had a song like that.

Just a thought on their goal and football in general, when did teams stop putting a man on the post, especially the near post from a corner... it just doesnt seem to happen at Championship and Premiership level, if not below..

Oh and lastly, if anyone thinks we're dangerous passing out from the back, watch Southampton and how it will cost their manager the job. Vardy did for them on about 25 seconds on Friday night...

I'd take it a step further and say that we,the football fans of Hull City, are subject to more scrutiny at the MKM than we/other home fans are anywhere else?I've had issues with the clowns employed by our Club, complained and got nowhere.

You travel away when you can,the same as me,and by and large I personally find the policing and stewardship far more relaxed and laid back at other stadiums.

Maybe I'm overreacting/being paranoid but it's worthy of debate..

That last line is exactly why I’m also looking forward to the Leeds game, if ayling gets an early yellow it’s gonna be tough game for him. I think it will be an open fast flowing game, all my Leeds loving family think they’ll piss it. Oh my god I’d just love it if we beat them ( said in a Kevin keegan voice lol ) going to be sat with my grandson…

Always thought the KC was/is too draconian in its Policing/Marshalling. Think we only put up with it as it was a new stadium and we where doing really well.

I’ve never really encountered problems with the stewards at home, other than one time some absolute spanner came and made the three of us sit in the seat number we each held the ticket for, and made us all actually move seats too instead of just swapping tickets <laugh> I would have thought he was taking the piss but he was so stern and serious.

Is everyone who’s had issues with stewards sitting in the corners next to the enemy fans?

I have aKeats found stewarding at away games to be much more regimented, suspicious and aggressive.
