In the context of our dire financial situation we've made 6 pretty good signings and the real bonus we retained Chair and Field. I'd have been more comfortable with 2-3 more signings as our success this season is now very much predicated on everyone staying fit. Maybe the sudden rapid development of Sinclair Armstrong and the potential from the likes of Rayan Kolli played a hand in what we were looking for as well. It feels almost inevitable we'll strike that deal with Chris Martin soon and at this stage with what we've got I wouldn't be totally against it. Another older head (no Uncs you don't count) wouldn't be such a bad thing.
If we get Chris Martin again then I'm done for the season. Can't pay good money to watch a bloke walk around a field
Re-signing Chris Martin would be an absolute joke. There’s a reason no-one else has offered him a deal - the bloke can barely move! Surely better to have a forward from our academy on the bench who can fill in. Or at least run about and make a nuisance of himself.
Chris Martin thought he'd retired when we last signed him. He's exactly the type of player we definitely do not need.
To be honest my 7 yr old son was asking how I could put a message on the board and this was the best example I could come up with.
Yeah, you’re right. My bad. Just reacquainted myself with the FFP rules. I was mistaken into believing that the income & expenditure rules could be somewhat flexed by owners’ cash going in as pure risk capital rather than debt (which can take a club under). As others have pointed out, these rules favour the big clubs with existing large fan bases, global brands and huge commercial revenues. Nigh on impossible for smaller clubs to penetrate that.
Why can’t we sell Stadium naming rights to Mittels steel company for 10 million like other clubs, we can still call it Loftus Road
Mittals probably only got involved in QPR so they could be guaranteed to provide the steel for a new stadium
Come on that's got to be absolute bollocks. How can a deal be done when we are saying we are not paying a transfer fee. What Peterborough sent him along anyway, just in case we changed our mind?
Multiple Championship clubs are keen on Andre Gray after he left his foreign club by mutual consent. 32 yrs old, but could provide decent back up if his wages aren't silly. He needs to have learnt the offside rule too !
I believe we “stretched” to get him last time, when he had more cash… seems unlikely he’ll come our way
You never know, the lure of London(albeit a slum part of London)might just swing it. He wasn't bad when with us last tine, and is a different sort of striker to what we have. Likes to play on the last defenders shoulder and is pacey, unless his legs and desire have gone. In which case we'd be all out to get him !
Just been pointed out to me, by our old friend Terry. We have no loans. (Part of Gareths team binding...we are all in this together plan...methinks)
