However, I do remember David Unsworth singing for Villa (from West Ham iirc) and then leaving for Everton within a month before a ball had been kicked. Signing new deals don't necessarily mean much either unless the rules have changed.

this is my point about execution tho

the model only works if you have players on long enough contracts to sell them when value highest

the club obviously know this as all our young signings are for like 4-5 years

it’s why it doesn’t make sense to me that the club would risk going into a window with him with less than 12 months. Even if they were going to sell him.

Weirdly I think Roberts has started the season well this year BUT being honest I’m not his biggest fan. He’s scintillating at times, great to watch but I just don’t think his final flourish is productive enough. Not saying the timing is good, don’t like too many changes, obviously I love watching him and Pritchard, they’re a joy on the eye but I’d swap both for skill with the business end.

I think we will be fine to be honest. But if the worst happens
I'm convinced we will still be left with a very talented group of players who want to play for the club.
Like the sound of Aouchiche and Rusyn
Hopefully we can bring in a bit more experience to give these kids some experience and support.

He's another one where we picked him up for pennies and will sell at the highest value. Is what it is

So that's Gooch, Roberts, Stewart, Clarke, Pritchard and Batth out tomorrow.

Incoming might be Rusyn, French lad whos name i cant spell, Michut, Buckley, Leaburn and Duk.(last 2 are names I'd like us to sign, no rumours or anything)
