Just been reading that Arsenal want rid of Rob Holding who is in the last year of his contract. He isn’t ever going to be a top CB but he was wanted by Bielsa and Arse refused to sell him back then. He would be a top signing in this league though and if he reduces his wages he would be available for around £6m.
Is the aim solely promotion or nurturing players who will hopefully be good enough to hold their own in the PL if/when promoted
I like Farke but hold our front line together and any decent coach would stand a huge chance of promotion. We can’t afford to be promoted and need a completely new back line
I’d only go for Holding if Farke believed he was good enough for a mid table PL push.
We have an aging defence and a loan, we really could do with signing a more promising defender with his best years ahead

Don’t disagree but Rodon and Holding gets you promoted this season and Cresswell and Struijk as back ups. Rodon is a Spurs player so will go back next season, Holding has played plentyof Prem games so should be good enough. Cooper and Ayling can be moved on easily. We need a sold base at the back with room to improve, Cresswell could be good enough next season too
If Cresswell isn’t good enough in the Championship this season he won’t be in the PL next. Cresswell needs to play around 30 games this season if he’s to take the next step up
Cresswell has only just gone 21. He's gonna make mistakes. He's a defender and they don't really mature until mid 20's.
Cresswell main problem is that he dives in. He's like a big daft labrador puppy going after the ball. He was terrible at the start of last season for Millwall but the progress he made in half a season for them was immeasurable. Don't take it from me, ask the Millwall lads.
Farke has mentioned the fact he goes to ground too easily and he'll work on it. Working with Rodon every day will help. He's incredibly young for a centre half.
Im happy for him to be a big part of this season, maybe I misinterpreted Docs post, I read it as leave him as backup, if we leave him in no man’s land like Joffy was for two seasons he’ll never be PL ready

If we sign Pantsill Christ we going to have some power in this league out wide. Sini,Gnonto,James on the right and Summerville,Pantsill,Poveda on the left if we do get him it could be the end of Poveda.
Djed Spence loan is the end of someone too prob Drameh.

Don’t think Farke rates Drameh at all. We keep getting linked to right backs and he hasn’t been able to oust Ayling.
That makes two of us i don't rate him either. Sell sell sell.
Someone posted on here Luton had signed 2 full backs..... So it's Cardiff then...
Southampton are the only Championship club chasing Drameh but West Ham, Palace and Brighton also asking.
Odd then that not one of our coaches / managers has ever rated him?
On top of that Newcastle wanted him but has now bought someone else Fulham too then look at Dortmund and 3 more German clubs. Just wish we would sell him or use him ffs
