Apparently we pulled out over concerns about an injury that we’re not convinced has been properly sorted
Are we still pursuing legal action against Everton over FFP? If so, it would seem very strange that they would deal with us over a loan for Ben Godfrey - if that is the case, shame, good player. Maybe they are just trying to pull a Swansea on us and scupper it at 1 minute to deadline o'clock!
Pretty sure I read that the club had pulled out of the in-court legal action in favour of an out of court settlement. I think they read the situation as foolish to pursue openly, as further pursuit might lead to Everton's inevitable administration & relegation possibilities etc. Point is if we make them go bust by pursuing them in the courts, we might get 5p per £ owed, or perhaps a fat zero if they go out of business. (There's also the lifelong stigma of being the club that forced Everton's downfall).
Those disappointed with the transfer window, who would you take of the other teams captures. Ipswich excited over Kieffer Moore, a guy who gets 12 goals a season, I’d have been gutted if we’d have got him in place of any of our strikers. If we pull off the new RB great, we’ve a strong starting 11 and Piroe who can’t get in the team. I don’t see those around us making huge waves.
