Well guys read all the comments-nobody mentioned the goal that was not given.
Apart from a 15 minute period in the first half i thought we were the better side and deserved three points from the game.
Far better than we played against Brum.
4 points from our two away games and only 1 point from our two home games.
Long season- players need time to gel after 10 to 12 games we all have a better idea where we are.
Good game for the neutral to watch tonight.

I'm right in line with where that was and it looked offside. Think the confusion surrounded the deflection

Just 1 of 3 square pegs in round holes tonight. I don't get it. And a piss weak central midfield. And 3 or 4 trier's who actually aren't quite good enough for a serious push. Plus continuing lack of any pace, on field leadership and physical presence. And generally boring tactics. Other than that, ok-ish (bang average). A big week coming up if the club is serious otherwise mid table beckons (after some getting over excited over beating a poor Wednesday and finally seeing off 10 man Blackburn).
Bristol pressed well tbf

Bang average every week got Sunderland in the playoffs last season

We'll hopefully be somewhere between 6th and 10th and that will be progress. .

It wasn’t given because it was offside. All in all a draw was a fair result in my opinion. We both missed chances we should have put away.

There was also a 10 minute spell towards the end of the game were you became really sloppy but we made poor decisions with the ball and didn't capitalise, then heading in to injury time you had final throw at of the dice. Weird game but in terms of the type of chances created I can see why you feel the 3 pts would be deserved. I missed the replay of the disallowed goal, it was onside then?

Two equally matched sides...That said as the away side I was impressed by Bristol and slightly disappointed in us....We let them off the hook to a degree but never really had control...But eh, that's the way it goes in this league....Think both look top half but top 6..maybe not. A bridge too far.

Rosenior said Tufan is dealing with a personal issue at the moment but is playing regardless. Might explain his absence from the open training session on Monday.

Would it be so wrong to want to see Delap and Connolly up front together?
Think Delap is better wide right, using his pace and cutting in...i.e. he made the goal for Tufan doing exactly that....Maybe have Twine up top with Connelly, ie two small ones playing off each other.
Tufan playing slightly ahead of Seri and Slater with Simons or Philogene on the left if he comes in..Is the Villa buy back clause the sticking point?

I’ve got ‘Robins TV’ on my stream. They’ve just had one of the players who isn’t part of tonight’s squad (presumably injured) talking about NP’s team talk and how they were confident they could nullify our threats, as well as how they could look to get at us.
He wasn’t wrong!

Thought Twine had a poor game. Never got past his man and when he went inside did not create a lot Thought that Vaughan was better when he came on in the same position moves the ball with speed and creates stuff when he goes inside
I never thought Twine was a wide player, always thought he ploughed down the middle with a partner. Not sure why or how he's suddenly morphed into a wide player. Not his strength.

But that was because we put ourselves under pressure by f*cking about with it at the back. Giving the opposition time to get back in shape. Quick decision making at this level is vital in creating opportunites. Bristol City had 19 shots to our 13. Being the home team, that enough, says it all.

They got the majority of those in the second half I would suspect, with a smattering at the end of the first half. Before that we were playing possession football and were in control.

Interesting take but I do like Delap in the centre. He seems to be doing the right things with the ball. Tufan behind the front two perhaps in games that we should be winning? (if we want to aim for promotion).

I think it is time to stop being scared of conceding and just try to out-score opposition. Figs is no longer at CB to be fair.

I'm not a Slater hater, but he was anonymous tonight. Traore is a luxury player and he will no doubt make way for the winger from Villa. Though he should have been hooked when Tufan went off
I could be wrong but wasn’t it Slater who played the slide rule pass through for Connolly, who should have scored.
I agree that Slater was anonymous first half but felt he was much more involved in the second.
I don’t think we can cope with playing two number 10’s wide at the same time, you need at least one quick player who can get past his man and whip the ball in. The only time we did it, we scored.
Traore and Twine were passengers for most of the game.
Hopefully, by the time the window closes, we’ll have a better balance to the team.

Might also explain why he seemed pretty flat today, apart from the goal.
Like a few others the game just seemed to be passing him by for large periods.

I think the pass was Seri.
Could be wrong (EDIT - I was wrong. It was Slater)

We were winning while in control. We lost control because we panicked and started going long and they scored at the start of the second half.
Despite us having a lot of the ball the way we moved it tonight was the worst I’ve seen for some time. Movement is limited, mobility and dynamism we still lack. Traore has only looked good this season when he’s drifted central yet we insist on using him out wide when we don’t have the ball. Really baffling
