Im fairly sure KLD had a 5year plan to get to the prem, if so I can’t see him being impatient for results.

He did. I think we can assume that’s not going to happen, we’d need to be promoted by the end of next season and we’re still on a shoestring budget.

If Mowbray is unhappy that the club were looking at other coaches, he should remember the circumstances he was appointed in.

Yep. I doubt it would be that, or just that, if he is disgruntled.

Not only is it reasonable for a club to be tuned to the idea of the next possible manager, it would be negligent of them not to be, so important is the role to the business.

I've complained in the past when a manager has been sacked here without any clear thought about a replacement. It's madness, and it also applies if a manager is doing really well; as with players , other clubs are always watching.

Starting to get fairly annoyed at the amount of stick Speakman is getting like.

He’s clearly got a very good eye for talent in terms of recruitment, and will be working on the budget set by the owner.

Some say that he comes across arrogant, there’s a fine line between confidence and arrogance and maybe some are misinterpreting it. Even if he was arrogant though, I couldn’t care less as long as he’s a success.

The only thing that’s annoying is lack of depth in certain areas such as striker and CDM, but I’m certain we’d be working on it.
I’d say striker and manager relationships he hasn’t got right but he has undoubtedly done a lot very well. Jobe, Hume, Cirkin, Roberts, Ekwah, Clarke, Ballard all brilliant signings. The equivalent of any of them up front and we’re looking good, and stable coach. I don’t warm to his politician talk but also can see he is a good operator. Maybe needs to listen as much as talk.

The period between sacking Johnson and appointing Neil was a disgrace and now the club are doing things to not let that happen again and are getting stick for it.

That was the case with Mowbray, he can't have it both ways.

TBH I've no doubt there's friction at every club, it's a high pressure situation.

That’s probably very true. Just think it’s shabby the info getting put into the media

Why aye, up and down the country managers and coaches will end the day in shouting matches with leadership teams to start with the next day as if nowts the marra.

Mowbray and the KLD/Speakman brothers are polar opposites ...

... they'll have very little cultural common ground unless, of course, Mowbray is actually quite posh and putting on the accent <laugh>

Weak insecure people will often be intimmidated by and come to distrust successful confident/arrogant secure people. in order to make themselves feel better they will disproportionately focus on any percieved failings/short comings

It could be the replacement manager who's quietly done that to upset the apple cart.
I think that whole story was way off. I said so at the time. I do not believe there were any conversations with another coach. I am sure they have a list of coaches they are monitoring, which is changing monthly, but they will not have spoken to any. It was just media nonsense in my opinion, likely driven by an agent of a coach and the dafties in the media believed it.

Completely agree with that. It wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't a "come and get me" to both us and other clubs. Just like some transfer links (looking at you, Peterborough and Darragh McAnthony) are indirect ways of saying someone is available and to drive the price up. And as most sports journos today are more full of gossip than actual facts, they're happy to keep repeating it for clicks and column inches
