I've noticed something that happens regularly on here.

Someone will have a pop about something and, when they're challenged about it, they'll say 'Oh no, no-one on here, it was Twitter or another forum'.

If you're having a pop it's better to quote someone directly imo, otherwise it lumps everyone in together and is just vague.

    Eh?
You don’t think he was a good pro? If he was a couple years younger I’d still want him playing now. Exactly the type of attitude I want in a player.

The problem is that people point out we should be signing a striker as if it's only them clever enough to have worked it out ...

... and totally ignoring the fact that Mowbray has said that's precisely what we're trying to do.

Some people just like shouting tbh but they're like toddlers having a tantrum on the supermarket floor ...

... quite annoying, achieving nothing and really difficult to ignore.

Pisshead who probably would have still been playing now if not for his lifestyle choices.

We've just gotten rid of these toxic influences, why introduce a new one.

He played for us in the championship, remember. How did that go?

Interesting debate A lot of the frustration from all sides stems from the fact that the club are now behaving and doing negotiations in a far more professional manner. There are no leaks to the press people who have been ITK are getting little or no info The forums get bored and touchy the press make things up and people jump on articles that are made up because there’s nowt else I hate the lack of info and crack from ITK rumours but I think we are just going to have to get used to supporting a better run club. If nothing has changed when the window shuts mind then fans are due an explanation. Until then

The thing I really like about our current set up is that no one, outside the recruitment team , knows our targets.
    It's great
The downside is that in the absence of any information people feel the need to fill the silence.
In most case with absolute drivel but an occasional gold nugget.
I've just accepted that we will find out when the club make an announcement.
Much easier, I feel, and I can then treat the comments made by various individuals as pure speculation and either engage or disengage.

I don't know him personally so it's just a general opinion from a distance, but my impression of him is that he grew up at some point in his late twenties and became a settled and reliable person.

That’s how I see it too.

I’d definitely have Cattermole back at the club in a coaching role for the youngsters. A lot of these kids, especially the local lads, will already see him as a role model regarding his attitude in the late part of his career with us.

He also wasn’t anywhere near as reckless on the pitch as some opposition clubs and the press would have you believe.
