Not how it was he obviously chose Burnley as he or his people thought it was the best choice for him, he made the call to this club to ask us to reconsider awhile back because he had made an error and he admitted that, he made the call before all this pre-season stuff and he still wants to come even though he has had a pre-season with Burnley not that they won't use him he actually wants to come here. We was his choice last season and something happened maybe his family or agent advised him to go to burnley, i think we will ask for the loan with an option to buy after.
If the club can get an option to buy which i think they will as Burnley also know he wants to come here then i think we should feel quite lucky that Twine wants to come here and ply his Trade, there would be alot of clubs willing to sign him, no different to liverpool making a record bid for the Brighton player and him telling Brighton i don't want to go there i want to go to Chelsea.
If you believe every transfer that comes in to us had us as their first option then I'll be reselling that betamax player back to you
It’s absolutely bollocks, no one on here has said anything remotely like they hate Liam, Bob maybe, in jest.
Completely agree but by god, there's a lot of negativity on this board at the minute. It does make me chuckle how reactionary people are and it's largely the same people that said we only needed to add a few not that long ago
Deal for Twine has already been agreed and signed. Was completed on Wednesday so I believe. Announcement due Tuesday or Wednesday.
Good. But why the wait of around a week to announce it? Simple, genuine question with nothing to be read into it.
There is bound to be negativity. Teams have strolled through us like the Germans strolled through Holland (pre season), Belgium (Norwich) and France (Doncaster) each time being progressively and emphatically worse than the time before after what turned out to be a disappointing and dreary end to the season. Disgruntlement goes back months. It’s built up over a long time and come to a head after, by all accounts, one of the worst performances in living memory of anyone alive. It’s no surprise the fan base is riding a huge wave of negativity. In fact when was our last genuinely good and exciting performance? Off the top of my head I’m going to say QPR in January?
Best time to share uplifting news early in the week, also they like to announce signings together so maybe there’s one or two irons in the fire that may potentially be ready to announce together.
