It was clumsily written, but you and you're mate both know what I meant.
I was quoting what people like you would say because I don't completely tow the line.
But then you knew that.

People like me? What's that supposed to mean?

I can only read what you write, I've not yet channelled the ability to read minds.

Our generation will be ok....our kids probably will be too....plenty of nice hot summers to come and pissy winters with no snow....our descendants may not be so lucky, but as you say, we'll be long gone
I don't like the cold and last summer wasn't that brilliant
In my opinion
Scientists may say something different
Bring me some warming

It's certainly right to say that the Earth's climate has always fluctuated - about a thousand years ago there was another warm period, hence the Vikings were able to undertake journeys and establish settlements in places which would not be possible now - and name Vinland after wine. We also grew Saffron in England in the early middle ages hence Saffron Waldon. We are, once again in a warm period even without man made intervention but the danger is that man's intervention will lead to this warm period getting out of control. It's certainly true to say that China is a problem as a whole, but their emissions per head are significantly below those of Germany, the USA or the UK. Also a lot of Chinese production is there to provide goods which we buy - so who is at fault there, the producer or the consumer. I am doubtfull about the whole concept of 'green' growth - the idea that we can go on consuming as before, just with other technology - like a kind of techno fix solution. What we need to do is to be able to imagine such a thing as a post growth society - where we accept that we don't need to always produce more but rather reallocate what is there more fairly.
I think China's emmisions per head overtook the UK's a few years ago

Of course you did.
You took something out of context to make it appear I was saying something I wasn't.
Quite pathetic.

Are you ok, Col? This is what Stainesy was commenting on...

Climate change is all made up.

My little joke.

Do you want to have another go at your initial post, so we all know what you're on about?

Try reading it.
Others have and understand it perfectly.
Problem is, it doesn't mirror your views completely so I must be some kind of denier in your eyes.

People that purposely misquote in order to misrepresent someone else's views.
You like to wum and this is just another example.

But I didn't misquote you - I even reposted your post and highlighted what you said.

I couldn't give a monkeys wet fart what you believe in with respect to climate change, and was only pointing out what you said. I'm a firm believer of science, and take into account views of both sides of the argument when it comes to conflicting views within the scientific community, but to ignore those who you disagree with on principal, which is basically what you wrote, seems foolish and blinkered....just my opinion, you're more than welcome to yours.

Yes, and I admitted that it was clumsily written, but I know you're not so thick that you didn't understand what I meant.
You know that I was quoting what people like you and Stroller would accuse me of, ie: that "I don't believe the science".
You chose to go down the wum route as you often do.
I don't give a **** what you think either, but I won't be misrepresented by you or anyone else. I clearly agreed with the science but not in all the ways the argument is put across etc.
But don't let the truth get in the way of you trying to dominate.
You even decided to accuse me of believing in God, when my views on that have always been very clear.
More wumming.
