We can scout just as good as Leicester, but financially they are in a different league to us so are bound to go for players we would have zero chance with

It's a loan with a view, so only wages at this stage, but I was talking more about the fact we apparently know the Turkish market and stuck a big wedge on getting Sinik.

Akgün a similar age and similar number of caps for Turkey as Sinik.

Be sods law for a similar outlay (if they make it permanent) that he turns out to be a world beater when we opted for Sinik as our big signing from Turkey, despite us supposedly having the upper hand with knowledge of Turkey (pretty certain Tan has even said something similar in the past about that being an area we have an advantage in player searches).

There's a considerable loan fee involved

Heard any more on Allahyar? Think it’s ridiculous we’re so light on wingers and ideally need two on top of what we already have but it sounds like two of our current wingers might go. I echo what @Tigerboy98 said. Acun and Tan are trying to sell us a dream but the transfers under them so far have either been cack, not worth what we paid for them, chronically injured or all three.

I think you're being very harsh.

Injuries happen, it was unfortunate that we had so many all at once, but those lads didn't come with an injury history (save for Connolly).

Traore, Tufan, Darlow, Seri, Christie and Oscar all contributed well last season. Vaughan also looked great and was like having a new signing, while Simons we will have to see but I like what I've seen from him when he has played. Tetteh did ok but his injury problems mean we're doing well to shift him. Figs was a write off, but he had just helped Forest get promoted, he's a classic example of a player who came in full of confidence, made a few mistakes and was never the same. Woods I think was just brought in as cover, I don't think he was every seriously going to be first team material. Ally seems to have gone through a similar problem with injury, he doesn't quite look the same player. The difference there of course is that he has age on his side.

Some transfers work out, some don't. There's no guarantee that the goal Liam Delap scored on Saturday won't be his last for us and he's the next Danny Graham. Sinik was a big signing, he's going to get a fresh chance under Rosenior to show what he can do and if it doesn't work out, he'll be gone, but he came with a very good reputation and I think he'll do well. Vale also came with a big rep and was total crap.

We paid £4m for Tufan, I'd say over the course of last season we got our moneys worth from him. We paid nothing for Oscar, I'd say his goals puts him in credit. Traore I need to see more of but I think he's got obvious quality and he adjusted to the Championship very quickly.

Fair enough. I just think the transfers under Acun and Tan could’ve used a lot more forethought.

Have you heard anything else recently? I think I heard we put in a second bid for Bird. Do you think the club will accept the bid for Allahyar from Hatayspor?

Honestly think we never see Sinik in a City shirt again. It's bizarre

I think we can all agree this transfer window has been much more sensible.

We still need more additions and we could also still do with moving some out but there is almost a month of the window left and the busiest few weeks to come where the majority of stuff happens.

I think we will probably be quite content by the time it closes.

As posted on the other thread have to assume there’s more than meets the eye there, obviously not fitness. Either some serious personal issues or failed drugs test or something like that.

We know he’s been training so it’s not injury related.
