    Problem that Burnley and hopefully other interested PL clubs now have is that Bournemouth are supposedly closing in on signing Alex Scott from Bristol City for £25m.
    Scott’s decent but no more PL ready than Clarke and that price should be our new answering the phone starting price.

    Not wanting to have a dig as I love fan-led content. But the amount of “exclusives” that come from that new SI Nation page, which are then followed by an “exclusive” a few days later that plans have changed, are starting to get annoying.

    yestefday they did an exclusive that Ballard is about to start contract talks. I’m pretty certain that in a week they’ll post “worrying news” that the contract talks have been put on hold.

    I half expect also a post on the next few days saying “hmm I had hoped we could stop talking about Clarke” before an exclusive news story saying that he’s very upset at not being allowed to move and so the club are considering reducing their asking price… etc
