Well this is bollocks, I swear our accounts said our wages/salaries came up to £11.5m and that was before we signed anyone last summer!
It’s just wrong, our wage bill in the last accounts was £11.2m, the year before they were 7.4m, this year they’re going to be well over £15m.
Window isn't over yet and a lot of our key contributors were tied down to big contracts. It's not flashy like a signing but getting those players down and having a core will keep us stable
I'm all for differing opinions, but with the way you're talking, you'd think we sold Greaves, Oscar, Seri, Christie, Jones and Traore and replaced them with league 1 players.
Ryan Kent? Bit of an odd one but you never know, especially with the Fenerbahce link.. https://www.glasgowworld.com/sport/...-set-for-shock-loan-move-to-hull-city-4238859
Someone else mentioned this yesterday. Fantastic player who I've seen in action on numerous occasions.Just the little '****house' we've been crying out for!!
Unai Emery: “Jaden (Philogene) is the player with the most positive surprise we are seeing. That’s the reason he started the 3 matches & played well. He has offers to leave but, at the moment, we are going to stay with him & we are going to decide..” Not sure how legit the rumours of him joining us were but seems he is staying at Villa for now at least.
Be a strange one this - given that he left Rangers for ambition reasons, going to a top European League, only to end up in the Championship with a couple of months. It'd be an excellent loan signing though.
I don't see it happening Ernie but it would be a marquee signing if it did. He's very skilful and has an engine similar to Docherty.Puts it about and ruffles feathers too.
Hull City are in talks with League One outfit Derby County over a deal to sign highly-rated midfielder Max Bird on a permanent deal, Hull Live can exclusively reveal. https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/hull-city-transfer-bid-derby-8644343
Definitely seems like some of our incomings transfers are directly linked to outgoings. Woods is told he can leave just as we're close to bringing Bird in. Tetteh leaves and that immediately frees us up to bring Connolly in. It makes sense, but we've often not operated in this way, and maybe without FFP in the equation we wouldn't be doing now.
