Someone's posted a picture under that tweet with him in his rainbow getup and the comments are disgusting. Lots of people saying gays should be killed, they're all sick ****s, etc. And they all genuinely believe Hendo hates gay people just as much as they do, that he only wore the rainbow stuff because he was forced to over here. That's the real problem. By going over there, he's basically saying "I agree that gay people are sub-human animals". If he comes out and vocally, regularly, reiterates his support for LGBTQ+ rights, and actually tries to be a force for change (death threats etc be damned) then I'll still respect him TBF. However, if he just goes over there and keeps quiet about it, then he can **** off imo. Hypocritical, pathetic, money-grabbing prick in that case.
All I can say is he's a hypocrite. I hope he never comes back to Sunderland. I hope any attempt at coaching or managing fails spectacularly. And any attempt at doing anti discrimination stuff in future is drowned out by people resending images of what these c@nts have come out with. And finally, Jordan, an open message to you. Don't bother donating any money to any local charity. We don't want you blood money tainting it. You know what? If he got injured in his first game and never played for them I'd genuinely laugh.
Saudi is a horrible place. He is going to find that out very quickly. Our owners - PIF - are representatives of a backward, homophobic hellhole. Henderson speaks out about LGBT rights over there he will be arrested. Yes, it's even illegal to talk about it in public over there. He is going to quickly realise that this move is s big mistake.
Not a surprise. It's not worked out well for him at Bayern, they want rid, but he's on big wages. Seems to have fallen out with a load of players and coaches there, so that, the wages and his age have probably put off a lot of bigger European clubs. The Saudis won't be bothered that much about all that as he looks like another trophy signing to them.
Liverpool sell well don’t they. Im sure someone gonna slap me with a notable exception but bar Suarez, who they didn’t wanna sell, not many leave Liverpool and do anything major. They sell at the right time.
As a rule, mate, they always have. I remember when they swapped Alan Kennedy to us for Barry Venison, people at the time were chuffed, but after a few matches you could see he was on the way down yet he was only 31 or so and had played in the European Cup final a year earlier
Am thinking Mane, Coutinho, Fabinho. Great fees at right time. Mane looked a wee bit cheap but he’s not been close. They do seem to spot decline early.
I think they would have kept Coutinho but the offer was big and he wanted to go irrc but he went on to do nothing. Same with Torres, don't think they were particularly happy to let him go. Then again I could remember it all wrong
Torres was definitely on the way down when they sold him, but you’re right they didn’t particularly want to. £50 million at the time was absolutely above market though so again ‘right time to sell’
Hmmm not sure, apparently Villa bought him for €25M and Stoke paid £3M 4 goals and 3 assists on loan at Levante last season
I can’t get my head round why anyone would buy him the state he’s currently in but stranger things have happened I guess, looks like we’re approaching targets regardless, planning as if he’s not here
