Horrible news. Football badly needs decent owners and our rivals down the road certainly had one that we can only dream of. By all accounts a decent person with time for the fans, who quietly developed Millwall into a club on the edge of the prem. I remember him mostly from Sapphire & Steel, thoughtful low budget ITV sci-fi from the late 1970's / early 1980's. From back in the days when tedious CGI was not needed and even youngsters like me had an attention span longer than 90 seconds.
Unfortunately I am old enough to remember watching The Man from U.N.C.L.E. Loved it at the time. And his performance and appearance in The Great Escape makes his work immortal. And on that subject, why is it not shown every Christmas anymore ? Has it fallen foul of some form of Political Correctness now ?
A War movie on Christmas Day? God Forbid. In these more enlightened times we get a movie about Witchcraft or Goblins...
