I don’t understand why they would pay that fee for him now when his contract is up next year. Or not want more years. I know money is meaningless to the oil tycoons but surely they have some kind of limit ?

Points more to my super league by stealth suggestion. They are doing what they did in golf. But they can’t really merge into the existing system like they did there.

Because he's going to Real Madrid next year. The Saudi's know they have no chance of keeping Mbappe in the league long term so this may present their only opportunity.

Won't be long before a Champions League final is hosted in Saudi. 5 years maybe?

They'll probably try and push for some of their clubs to join some point down the line too.

I was going to write that to with the “logic” of a planned World Cup that is mooted to be being bid for by a combination of Greece, Turkey, Saudi and Egypt. No doubt with the final in Saudi.

But I couldn’t bring myself to consider it !

Yeah a WC will definitely go there too but think that'll be a bit further down the line as I think 2034 is the next asain one and I don't expect they'll get that one.

Whereas a champions league final going there will happen in the coming years. Or announced at least as they run 3/4 years ahead I think

I expect PSG will definitely accept as they are actively trying to get rid of him now, the French players Union is going after them for freezing him out of their pre season.

Mbappe has allegedly told them he wont move now and wants to go on a free at the end of the season, it will be interesting if this tests his resolve.
