The UK gets very little oil from Saudi Arabia, most comes from the North Sea. There are also significant imports from the US and, up until recently at least, Russia. However, it's not relevant - we don't have much of a choice when we fill up do we? We don't have the required information to make any sort of ethical choice (if that's even an appropriate word when it comes to oil consumption).
I am not and never have been interested where a club get's it's money from. You do need the right people to spend it though as Woodward showed for us. I only asjed the question because none of you had mentioned the club.
Rather not have the dirty money but that's outweighed by not wanting a player at the club that doesn't want to be there. Ultimately, the club (and team) comes first
I suppose there should be some excitement as someone must be incoming. If there is no plan and we make do it’ll be the last straw for me I think
We bought Hendo for £20 million in 2011, had almost 500 appearances from him and now sell him for £12 million aged 33. Morality aside, that is pretty good business. Judgement will come when we see the replacement
I don't think we need a Hendo replacement. His best position was the RCM role and we've got plenty that can play there (and LCM); Zobo, AMC, Thiago, Jones, Elliott (that's five into two) plus youngsters and maybe Trent too. Hendo offered a backup option to Fabinho at DM, that's where we need fresh blood. If Fabinho leaves too, we really will be staying to look desperate and prices for anyone we show an interest in will go up. Maybe that's why the Fabinho and Hendo stuff have dragged on a little bit.
Read quote saying at some point we will talk about it but it’s not now. and another saying all decisions are made by me. Respect the players a lot. It’s all fine.
