Can't have too many ..... A Traore's. Actually, even just having one playing regularly would be nice.
A Traore - The thing is, you would know how good he is independent of whether you've seen him play or not. If you've got a degree in Philosophy then this is actually rather a funny joke. You think I'm a pretentious twat? Ok, fair enough.
Can't recall a City manager as confident as Liam in his own coaching ability and it's evident by his signings that he's going for prospects he believes he can improve, this is fantastic and exciting if it comes off but should we still be looking for a bit more Championship nouse and experience?
Might have been mentioned before but Harry Vaughan looks different level, more excited by him then any signing coming in.
Agreed, plus Will Jarvis looks like he’ll be hard to keep out of the first team set up, looks like Toon Tiger was certainly right about him.
From LR's comments last night I don't think he's going to be a first team player any time soon. Think we're getting a bit too excited about a pre-season performance; he'll likely disappear to the U23s again when the season starts.
Shame if true. Liked watching him play. Antidote to the sterile, formulaic football we see too much of these days.
He looks far more composed and dangerous than Longman, I'll be surprised if Rosie doesn't think the same.
Ship out Longman and have Jarvis on the bench. It’s borderline criminal Longman gets any game time at the club for me.
He does look composed for 20 and clearly has potential, but I think Rosenior is right, a lot to work on & develop. I'd put Longman ahead of him all day long ATM, he's getting too much undeserved criticism from some at the moment. Having said that, hopefully neither feature as regulars coz if they do it means we have failed to sign the better players we need to make a fist of it.
Don’t see that myself, he was one of the two out balls that consistently got me on the edge of my seat. I’d be surprised if, by the end of the season, he hasn’t played an integral part. It’s also great for the club because from an FFP point of view as I really think that the left hand side can be sorted between Vaughan, Jarvis and Cox.
I got that feeling too, which was a bit disappointing as he is popping up in goal-scoring areas which others are not always doing. I agree with OLM he looks more composed than Longman in scoring areas, and yes maybe he needs to learn the tracking back and pressing side more, but even so, Longman isn't the best at it either.
