I know money talks but it's a really strange decision from the lad, Liverpool LGBTQ+ supporters group are certainly not happy.

Henderson has put himself on a pedestal with comments like these, his charity work, he is England captain and an MBE (I know it doesn't always mean a lot but his was due to his charity work and support of certain groups).
He is being used to sportwash. He is rish enough that he doesn't need the money. Obviously its great but doesn't need it.

the thing is, the rich (and above) only really have to mix with close family and most of the time spend time with other rich w@nkers that hate 'us' therefore our opinions mean nothing to them...they 'made themselves better' by getting rich according to any that have done the same.
the money grabbing attitude is nothing new by any means, but people had to work hard at one time to build a business up where many now are living off parents wealth and no nothing different, some get naked on an 'only fans' page, others call themselves 'influencers' and mugs take notice hoping to follow them to free money and try to get more 'followers' themselves.
it will, of course, be up to hendo if he decides to go and it will be on him if it bothers him in any way at all...those that go obviously do not care and the more that are taking that choice make it easier for the next man (have women sports people been asked yet?)... the sooner people los ethis urge for riches the better the world will be, or maybe those mega-billionaires could put a bit of wealth into helping the population and i don't mean the little (little to them) they put into charities for tax relief, or maybe the rest of us need to change our attitudes and decide 'feck them, i am greedy'?

It's a real shame the Henderson thing. If he does ever come back to Sunderland in a year or so, it would haven been as a hero. Now it will be accepted, we maybe still even pleased, but will be much more muted.
