Agree with Syd here. I don't believe you should give someone minutes just because they've cost a few million quid. You earn your chance on the training ground and he obviously didn't do enough. LR preferred playing Slater out of position out wide instead of giving Dodo a sniff which is pretty telling. I find Acun's comments a bit odd saying that he'll be better after a full pre-season when he's already missed the first 2 weeks.
That might be the case, or like with Tufan, he found it hard to adjust to the English game at first and needs time to adjust. I am sure Liam won't be swayed by Acun, he will make his own mind up, so as I said TWT.
I wouldn't say that Tufan found it hard to adjust at all. It took him ages to get into shape and back used to playing regularly which he hadn't done for 18 months before.
Sinik isn’t fine to have in the squad really if he’s not a regular starter, he’s expensive and can also recoup a fee.
Acun thinks hes good enough to be apart of the squad. But ultimately that doesn’t matter, he made valid points regarding not having a pre season last year though, but again, slightly worrying having the owner come out and say he’s part of the plans when Rosenior has said nothing on him.
The more worrying thing with Sinik, are the reports of his influence on Tufan who has become something of a fans favourite. Maybe Acun isn't the type to admit he's made a mistake.
I'm convinced there's also an element of him not wanting to turn his back on a Turkish player. With all the chat about the guy who's just gone to Real and how he would have 'trusted' us if we were in the PL, I'm sure Acun wouldn't want to be showing we ditch Turkish players when they're ****.
LR said earlier in the year he had massive ability but needed game time so he went on loan, maybe he still thinks he has massive ability hence why he is still here and gone no where as LR thinks now he has had a taste of the league he will be able to adjust.
If we’re going to play him, Acun will talk him up, if we’re trying to flog him, Acun will talk him up. There is no scenario where talking him up is a bad thing.
Many players have played poorly for this club over the years yet played alot better for other clubs, but this time the whole set up seems to be more of a family players are happy the top brass are happy LR and his staff are happy the whole atmosphere seems different from the past, so maybe sinik will settle and be alot happier in this enviroment as any hesitation he had may just go away and he plays more freely knowing he won't be scapegoated for any mistakes by the club or fans as LR will just say we are all learning.
We've just shipped Figueriedo out after 12 months for not being up to standard, but we're giving Sinik more time because no doubt the amount invested in him, his age and his nationality all play a part.
you got this nationality thing embedded in your head do you really believe Acun would keep players here where ever they are from if it restricted his chances of promotion, maybe both him and LR have had a chat and believe if Sinik can show what he is capable of he would be a real asset to the players around him and the club maybe we should just trust the club on what they think.
I don’t know why he just didnt come out and say “he’s ****”. Give his confidence a right kick in. Rosie said spoke really positively about Tyler Smith, then binned him
