Don't suppose there's a metalworks who wants to get in the way...?

One decent season and Villa fans start getting ****y again. Typical

...and it turns out the guy tweeting this is a racist ****, and by complete coincidence the area around Villa Pit is occupied by members of the black and Asian community. Hmm, I wonder why he is really, really happy at the thought of making hundreds of people homeless in order to have slightly expanded corpo facilities...?

Usually when you sell a key player or promising youngster there's an air of disappointment but all my Fener mates are pretty buzzing at Arda Guler joining Madrid. Many of them believe he's the future of Turkish football and it's hard to disagree with them on the snippets I've seen, looks a real, real talent and even won the MOTM award in the Turkish Cup Final last month, only 18.

Madrid are building a scarily good young team, especially from the midfield up, with Guler joining Bellingham, Camavinga, Tchouameni, Valverde, Vini Jr and Rodrygo. If they add Mbappe this summer too... faaaackin'ell.

And Haaland the next.
They've spent a hell of a lot of money on youngsters, but it looks like it'll be worth it.

Weren’t there rumours he had a release clause active after 2 years? Or was that quashed.
Not sure but how much faith should we put in rumours?
The man has just won a treble in his first season and is getting very well paid.
What would be his incentive to leave City for Madrid, obviously status of the club but if he stays where he is maybe he could help raise City's status to a very good level and go down as a player that achieved that.

100%. But Madrid is Madrid, they have an allure that no other club in the world has. Maybe staying at City and building that legacy will appeal to him, he wouldn’t be the first player to fall in love with an adopted home. And if he plays out the rest of his peak career there he’ll walk away with a bus load of trophies of every variety, probably the league scoring record, the whole lot.

But Real Madrid have something.

That said I think Mbappe will end up there and I’m not sure in the current elite football world how you fit them both into a team. Mbappe could play left but does he want to do that? 2 up top would be a departure. It’s a tricky one for both of them. Neither feel like Barca players. So maybe Haaland does see it out at City for the long term and Kane’s record in the PL (assuming he makes it) is more short lived than Shearer’s.
