No one is going to convince me that rebalancing percentages of wealth to make life easier for those with the lowest percentages is a bad thing. If only you could buy empathy in Waitrose.
I don't think much of the current government but I consider your analysis of them to be overblown and based on a political viewpoint that I can't agree with. There are other political options, I agree but they are limited (currently) to the two other mainstream parties. As soon as they stray too far from the centre ground they will lose my vote. I haven't made any mistakes and I am not misguided. No one receives my vote because I am being open-minded, but by being open minded I can assess the different parties without clouded judgement.
The current government are as far right as we've had in tis country for decades - the PM is literally desperate to keep the furthest right wingers onside ala braverman - Johnson sidelined most of the moderate and sensible tory MPs.
You imply you’re open minded but have chosen the centre, ignored the centre party and gone for most xenophobic most right we’ve ever had, but don’t regret anything. I’d suggest your centre lens is right of centre.
You can suggest what you like, you've constructed this nonsense on the basis that I advocate looking at all of the available evidence before judging. You haven't sought to understand my political views or to understand how my beliefs have developed. You've simply made inferences on the basis that I don't fall in line with your own views.
What I’m clearly saying is that if you looked at the available evidence and chose Tory you have a lot of harm to answer for and your ‘rational’ judgment of their performance and excuse making for it doesn’t wash, nor does your suggestion that others are less rational than you.
This is where it gets laughable. You frantically try to accuse me of bias, but your assertion that anyone that voted Tory has anything to answer for is the language of a zealot. At no point have I tried to excuse anything, I've simply said when you judge anything you must look at all of the evidence.
You'll probably be surprised to find that posters of 'Wor Idi' outsold Pink Floyd, Che Guevara and the tennis lass scratching her arse ... ... I had an Idi poster on the back of my bedroom door for many years, growing up in our pit village, until me Mam tore it down in a pro-Asian refugee driven rage. Copies are often seen on Ebay selling for hundreds of thousands of pounds ... ... mine was an original ffs
Ah right I get the picture now, wondered why you were so irate and touchy earlier calling people simple for being conned by the Tories for the Brexit vote, when after all it was yourself who was conned but still ignorantly lashed out at other people for your shortcomings Are you simple?
"Wor" Idi indeed. Was exiled to Saudi Arabia after he was deposed. Could have been King of the Geordie "Nayshun" if he lived a bit longer. Interestingly he shares with Bonko the number of children description of "at least 6" on Wikipedia
Boris Johnson was a right wing zealot. There was no end of evidence of his discriminatory attitudes prior to the election. They are as far from the centre I have ever seen. They are rightly regularly called out for actively promoting at best promoting the politics of division and for using the language of fascism, they have limited protest and are blatantly corrupt law breakers. They were your choice and you are making excuses for them but aye I’m the zealot
After the shameful behaviour of Boris Johnson anyone who made him the leader of our great country should be capable of saying 'fair enough he was poor' ... ... but they'll just keep defending him no matter what.
