Absolutely. I'm not convinced that Stokes will play reasonably sensibly, but that's exactly what is required. England simply mustn't lose this test, but kamikaze cricket may result in us being almost out of the series. Obviously, it could go the other way too and I realise that's what Stokes and Macullum say, as entertainment and not results is apparently what drives them.
We have another contender for the Nostradamus of the Match Award. Although you don't have to be a soothsayer to know what Stokes would do, with McCullum's blessing I'm sure.
Stokes's captaincy was praised by Ponting for always seeking to do what the opposition wouldn't want you to do. The way England (apart from Stokes himself and now Bairstow) have played against the short ball was the opposite of that. By trying to hit every ball they were doing exactly what the Aussies did want them to.
We've completely thrown this away, utter stupidity. Aussies literally can't believe their luck. 2 games running , in such good positions just to hand them to Australia. The news that Lyon is out for the series, just makes this even worse. Bazball is 1 thing but you need to adapt to circumstances or it means nothing. The smarter team is gonna win this series !
