I wonder whether they truly realised just how tough it would be with FFP and the key factor of generating much higher revenues to enable more spending.
Just hope PIF don't get bored of the project themselves if they are not allowed to just throw money at it. I know they said it's a long term plan, but I expect they really want to see success soon.
It's pretty enjoyable really. I mean, Tonali is a signing that I really wouldn't have expected us to be able to achieve this early. It means that I can see us leave a player as good as Maddison and remain relaxed. Look forward to each signing and trust they will be good... The only one that has slightly disappointed me was Wood.
