Shota was well liked as a person, but he had zero respect as a gaffer. The money is decent for greaves and it's a step forward for him in his career. He's not pushed for the move at all. But it's the best move for all involved

Define decent. North of 7mill or below?

It was known by pretty much everyone at the club within the first couple of weeks that Shota wasn't a good fit for us at all.
was he just indept or was it a communication issue and getting his ideas across to the players?

Greaves likely to leave. Brentford and Leicester have firmed up their interest, he's looking to go and the club are happy if they get a decent wedge. Will free up some FFP wiggle room.

Why on earth would either of those clubs be interested, he’s not even good enough for us.

Greaves is currently sat outside Hearth on Trinity Square, and has been constantly on his phone. Definitely means he is leaving........

It's ok, he's just waiting for the speedboat to dock so he can welcome our new signings. Should be there in half an hour or so. You just watch him get up and go in a mo.

Burnley did it under Dyche. I'd say it worked out really well for them and they're a similar club to Luton really in terms of fanbase and club size

Burnley have always had higher crowds than Luton. 20,000 with a population of around 80,000 is highly respectable, especially with so many other clubs nearby. Leeds is closer to .Burnley than Hull. I bet you don’t see the numbers wearing TWS shirts or cheering them on in the pub you see in Hull.

I wouldn't say horrible mismanagement, we managed to acquire some great players who will be key to the squad this season. I think anyone expecting instant results were being more than a little naive.

It depends on how you define success. I'd define it as outperforming your budget, which we clearly didn't do and it's a solid indication that we didn't get value for money on signings. The best thing we can do this summer is be brutal and for anyone we don't believe is value for wages, we should try to move on.

It’s a strange one with greaves. I’m sure most would love him to succeed with us. From the beginning it was clear he had the class to go far, but needed to improve some parts of his defensive game to realise that. By the end of this season having lost his place in his favoured position but added versatility having played as a full back. I can see why he would want to go to a club already in the prem or a club like Leicester who are probably more likely to get there first. I personally feel we could use the money on areas we need more, but still have a bit of a gripe with him going. And it is a shame seeing local lads not make it to the prem with us.
