There are multiple reasons for joining a European Defence Coalition....it's not as if they are planning on invading anywhere, and circumventing US interference (especially those bloody IRA supporters in the White House) in operations would be an advantage. With the instability in Russia and Ukraine we should be seeking all the allies we can instead of holding them out at arms length....China is still hovering in the wings and will be the winner once the Russia/Ukraine conflict has played out.....
