Also rumours that Putin has left Moscow on his private jet to the North West. Apparently his jet has definitely flown away from Moscow, nobody knows if he was on it.
Hopefully the Wagner guy can just walk straight into Moscow and any armed personel there just put down their arms. No one is going to want to die in opposition, afterall Putin has been lying to Russians, so nobody would understand why to resist the Wagner group, otherwise it will dawn on them, they've been lied to all this time. Would you want to get in a fight with the Wagner group, fook that.
There's some propaganda about how elite they are, but for certain they are better than local bizzies with machine guns and soldiers withheld from Ukraine. Dunno what the end outcome here is, the Russian lines collapsing in Ukraine?
Would Wagner be even more aggressive than Putin? His army is made up largely from prison conscripts as far as I understand. He's been actively fighting in Ukraine since 2014. Would he stop now? Allegedly meddled in the U.S elections. Allegedly fingers in lots of different areas of Africa. Specifically mining projects. Would he be better or worse than the current lot. A bunch of angry prisoners in charge of a major nuclear armed country.
Wagner won't ever control Russia lol, the only outcome of this in any meaningful way is either Wagner falls apart, after severely damaging the Russian war effort and escalating a cease fire and withdrawal. Or he somehow damages the Kremlin so severely that the entire nation splits up into factions. It's a vast land with many key players with tons of cash and arms. Civil war is possible
I've been listening to Aljazeera... They said Russia have 1.5 million troops and another 2 million Putin can call on. Wagner are about 125,000 hopefully I've not heard these figures wrong, the 125k is not counting the conscripts but the elite part of the force. They might be a small group in comparison, but they are a hardened group. Neither Putin or Wagner are going to come out of this very good. If I knew Wagner were coming, think I'd just pack up my bag and leave.
The Russian army is getting mashed up in Ukraine. They are pretty much committed across all lines. Wagner have "Russias" most successful soldiers behind them and are marching on Moscow. I'm not sure who can stop them taking control at this point if they want it.
I think they've got far more support than what is publicly known tbh as its gone almost too smoothly so far. Interested to see if Putin takes the decision to bomb the convoys into oblivion as they approach Moscow. I think of there's been no huge successes still by those loyal to Putin by tomorrow morning then he's ****ed imo.
Reckon this could be decisive. If Wagner lose Rostov then suspect it'll all come falling down pretty quickly.
I guess if Wagner controls Rostov and the military command centre for the war in Ukraine then he must have control of the airspace which stops Putin bombing Wagner personnel as they move north. I dunno. Just guessing really.
**** me, they've got a Volkswagen campervan in the convoy with them. Bet the driver in that van feels a little nervous.
Moscow is like 1000km north though isn't it? And they're driving in on an open road, seems an obvious target tbh.
